Zrk2 leaves the Foyer and enters the Dining Room.



Aside from the general decay, this place is actually nicely furbished. The table is largely empty, save for the platter in the middle with Zrk's own head on top. Zrk is thoroughly disturbed. Does that mean the house wants him to die?

"No, Miss LeClerc", the head clarifies. "I expect you to dine."


Zrk doesn't take it particularly well, but he was already crazy enough to not really be affected statwise.

Haunt roll:

As the sole girl I feel it's my duty to do something suitably foolish to fulfill the horror movie stereotypes. I'll go to the foyer, then north.

'rochir is an ambitious boy, and like many kids his age he thinks he's cooler than he actually is. And what's cooler than a bunch of muscles and boiling blood brimming with besto- I mean, testosterone? He works out a bit with the dumbbells, and amazingly enough, his speed actually increases to 6. Eat that, Red!

He also finds a mask lying around, the kind that he associates with tanned men in loincloths going "ooga booga". Should be useful for spooking the girl in the chapel, he figures, so he picks it up.

Next, the stats aren't numerical--look at your character cards; you'll notice that some have repeating numbers while some skip a few, that's the mechanic of the Character Role (ie ZRK didn't go 'less insane' in Darvi's description because below his natural 4, is another 4.)

Also for those who don't have the rulebook (Kevak, maybe?), the # of rooms you can move to is the # of SPEED you have.
The main hall onto the stairway costs 3 moves, despite technically being one room. Count how many square images there are!
