Retiring A Fort

Ok so ive been thinking about retireing a fort after making a tavern so i can retire Adventururs there but i was wondering what happens to the fort when you retire?

It continues on as normal when you are playing another fort, although in less detail, and controlled by an AI. Note, that you cannot visit it, or look at it.

It becomes an background Fort similiar to all other Forts/towns on the map until you play it again.

That of course means that invasions against it can still happen in the background like it happens to the others and of course the active played one. Dwarfs can die, be born, go away or settle there. So expect some minor differences after you retired and then replayed it. Some Dwarfes tend to wear something else than what they did before after unretirement because they wanted to etc pp. The sall stuff.

Oh yeah, remember the weapontraps you installed there. You can easily kill your adventurer that way.

Oh ive got another question

Does anyone know wether or not Miners will Mine out new places in the retired fort?

Nope, they wont. Or wont yet...

A Player Made fort stays in shape as it was saved.

That miiiight change in the future knowing Toady. But not anytime soon.
