I recently read through this whole thread.
The fact that this story has not died out after this long is worth a congratulations.

I did keep thinking of Poker Night frequently while reading. I can't help but think that Soldier not only wants to fill up his zoo like his role model. Perhaps Soldier wants to show he can be better player than Dr. Heavy Weapons Guy, at poker.

If for some mad reason you decide to continue this into other games after you've finished this one, it would be entertaining to see how other characters would go through the similar situations.  Heck, don't have to necessarily be TF2 characters if you don't want to do that.  There's a bunch of other game franchises you can take from as well, maybe Metal Gear?  Heck, don't even need to limit yourself to games if you want to run one with, say, Micky Mouse or Yami Yugi.

Well, I did something like that as a personal challenge. I found out you could beat Fallout:New Vegas without killing anything.

This was around the same time I had a finished playing Undertale.

It was a thing I did... it was interesting....

If for some mad reason you decide to continue this into other games after you've finished this one, it would be entertaining to see how other characters would go through the similar situations.  Heck, don't have to necessarily be TF2 characters if you don't want to do that.  There's a bunch of other game franchises you can take from as well, maybe Metal Gear?  Heck, don't even need to limit yourself to games if you want to run one with, say, Micky Mouse or Yami Yugi.

What about Handsome Jack, Captain Falcon, SAXON HALE, or Glados? All perfectly suitable characters, begging to be placed in contrasting but fitting settings.

(Ex. Soldier is in hippie-land, but is still getting fight money and trying to fill up his zoo. Frisk being in New Vegas requires a whole story about it, example being the fact that "Courier" is a font type.)
