I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any Lets Plays out on the internet. Either Ones that are Video, or Forum based ones like in the community games board. I've noticed that there is a sore lack of content for alot of the Non-dwarven races, especially in video format.
I've read and follow a few of the threads for Non-dwarven races from the community board. To list a few of the more outstanding examples:
☼Battle of 8 armies☼
All of the races. ALL OF THEM. The various perspectives that REALLY helped me at least learn how different races tackled the same challenges. In my opinion one of the best ones that I currently follow, since there is so much variety in things you can learn from it.
☼Lovewhirls☼
Succubus fort that has so far has taught me a lot about the difficult race, with wonderful writing. Following some basic designs from Boltgun's fort helped me create my longest lived fortress ever in DF. Only tenish years, but that was a huge accomplishment for me seeing as most my forts before barely lasted five.
☼Cobaltpacked I and II☼
Again, wonderful written and was immensely useful as a teaching tool for me when leaning this very hard race. Thanks to things I learned Arcavasti's fort, Kobolds still retain their spot as my favourite of the races (Succubi and Warlocks tying for second).
As for videos, well, two that I have watched on Youtube have been the ever dwarfy Silverdragon and his hundreds of hours of dwarfing, and a few of the Lets plays of Masterwork done by Quill18. Quill18 only has done dwarves as of yet, and Silverdragon has tried Warlocks, Kobolds and Orcs, but these Let's plays are now excruciatingly outdated.
So, does anyone know of any good Lets Plays or Forum threads that excel at showing off the specialties and quirks of the non-Dwarven races?
(Apologies if a thread like this has been posted already, I havent seen one.)
