Oh, I was actually hoping to get to talk to people. Mostly Tonya. Because the confusion would be hilarious.

It's going to be a while before I push out the update. You can still chat until then. And after the battle. Or during the battle too.

Okee. Anyone who wants to talk to my character can go ahead. Roleplaying Time is pretty elastic, you know.

Spoiler: Terrain Effects (click to show/hide)

Well the first mission is up. Hopefully what terrain is what is obvious. The circles to the right of the map are supposed to be your mechs. I based the designs on your paintjobs, so hopefully it's obvious as to who is where. If there's any confusion let me know and I'll sort it out. If you think that my artistic skills are lacking and you can do better, then send me your improved design and I'll use it instead. Enemies should be much more obvious about who and what they are.

For movement I'd prefer if you used the format (X, Y, Z). Y is how far you're moving up, X is up and to the left, and Z is up to the right. Negative numbers obviously move in the oppisite direction, so if you wanted to move down and to the left then you'll use a negative Z value. Shooting enemies will be easier since you can just tell me what the name of your target is.

I'm 95% certain that I missed something in my rush to post the turn, so if there's any confusion make sure to tell me and I'll fix it ASAP. Obviously later missions will make more sense since the initial confusion will have been dealt with.

You kind of... repeated yourself about the movement. With both feet in your mouth.

Attack the enemy, don't get attacked too much ourselves.

Also, question: is there a Pair Up system such as that of the Fire Emblem series?

Pair Up? I've no idea what you're talking about, so... Explain.

Pair Up is a mechanic in the latest Fire Emblem game that lets two units stack on the same tile.  The primary unit is on the field to be targeted and attacked; the secondary unit is effectively "off" the field (on the same tile) and grants stat boosts, as well as a percent chance for the secondary unit to use a follow-on support attack while attacking an enemy or to negate the damage when being attacked by an enemy.  Basically, it's a bit of a complicated system.

Considering that would mean a player wouldn't be able to do anything for however long it lasted, I doubt it. Nothing like it was mentioned, so I'm not sure why you might think there was.

Fun fact about my use of Eddys there. That's actually from the phonetic alphabet from WW1. It also happens to sound like enemies.

Oh. Well the major problem with the Pair Up system is that it involves one player doing nothing on their turn, which sounds very boring. So no, I don't think I'd include anything like that. Also I thought that Pair Up would turn out to be a shipping bonus. It's obvious why...

Well, actually...it is that too.  Paired units get bonuses to their support levels for every action they take.  That doesn't make much sense in a game that doesn't even have support rules, though, so I didn't mention it.

Nothing short of death can't be used as a shipping bonus.

And sometimes not even that.
