Rumman is supposed to have a lot of friends/acquaintances/connections in the military, so if you want to introduce NPCs, you could explore that area.

I definitely will. If you have any suggestions/ideas about what they'd be like I'd love to hear them. Or would they all be gruff veterans like Rumman is?

Ah, go wild! It's your game and world. I'm sure there are a bewildering variety of personalities in the nation's mech corps, though. You could have decades-long rivals, corrupt superiors, young officers who don't quite know what they're doing, gruff, seen-it-all types and naive bright-eyed types, gloryhound types, dutiful types, fanatic zealots, and the classic, the interfering political officer/surprise inspector desk-jobber who knows nothing of real war.

I think we figured out Rumman was some kind of highly-trained and paid specialist, though not actually an officer due to... something something mumble mumble, we'll figure out why.

Alright! I'm finally... Less busy and thus can devote the time to working on this. But it has been about a month, so... I'd like one to three things from everyone.
  • Whether you're still playing or not, so that I can shuffle around characters as needed.
  • If you are still playing, where your character is right now and what they're doing (if anything).
  • If you have any ideas on how to get your character interacting/talking with other people I'd like to hear them. I have something planned for Tonya A. and Sean which will set up the next mission, but that leaves everyone else without stuff to do. Obviously I'm going to introduce NPCs from the other mech squads and base personnel for people to talk to, but having 'bump into a random person and strike up conversation' times 10 would get old very fast. And probably be too much for me. So any ideas on how to get you people talking to each other again would be appreciated.
So... Yeah. Let's get this game back on track, now that I'm less busy. Sounds good?

1. Still in.
2. Averus is currently looking for weapons or other important salvage.
3. Not sure.

Well... Hopefully that catches most of you guys who want to RP. I know that I missed Tonya M but I'd like a description of where she's taking a smoke, KJ. Just so that I could have a bit of a lead-up/intro or whatever. I also missed Digital Hellhound's character and anybody fiddling with mech parts but... it's late and I'm tired. If you guys want to post a hook for me, that'd be appreciated. But otherwise I'll cook up something tomorrow.

He was semi-retired, wasn't he? Could that factor into things somehow?

Missing me is fine, I don't have that much free time to spend right now. And yeah, he was retired. I dunno how that'd relate to it. He might've been working a desk job or training new kids from time to time, but mostly retired.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I'm feeling worn-down from all of the work I've done and more has started to pile up. Not a ton, thankfully, but it's still annoying.

Anyways, does anybody else want to engage in some socialization? The barracks is full of NPCs if anybody cares to go there. If not... I guess I should start thinking about the next mission. After I do some behind-the-scenes stuff, of course. Gotta work on devising mech upgrades, equipment and similar things now.
