I got bored again and now NEBS is an interactive toy
But seriously though, the battles are no longer randomly generated, instead you set them up.
I suppose now I should start adding more units. Cavalry should be a good place to start assuming I ever figure out how to draw a horse.
Also melee combat should be a thing I think, perhaps I'll have whichever side is winning perform a bayonet charge once ammo runs low in an attempt to finish off the opponent.
I'm also thinking about morale and officers, I don't want things to get to complex given this programs emphases on mass warfare, mostly I'm thinking of having morale provide a general buff or penalty to how soldiers perform. Maybe have them rout if morale completely bottoms out, should be a good way of resolving the standoffs that currently happen way too often. Getting bayonet charged should also hurt morale and give a good chance of having the side getting charged rout rather than counter attack since that's what happens most often according to the thirty seconds of research I did on the subject.
Should still include a chance for a valiant last stand to occur though.
I'm thinking officers should provide a constant source of morale, but hurt it badly if they die.
Oh yeah the download link.
