((I am bit sad about the thoughts/speak in there, because setting it aside "because you're crazy" doesn't really have an application with being overly honest with paranoid people. Other than that, is fine.))

Activate the answering machine and back out a few steps.

Are you talking about when your character told his wife about not trusting her? I did that as a side effect of rolling the six. :P [/GM cruelty] It was how he got his point across that he wanted the store closed and was angry. For Edward, saying it was unintentional - he wanted it private, but somehow it came out. that happens with people often enough, even paranoid people, especially ones with wife and kids. (I'm no real expert on mental imbalance though.) With the storekeeper, it is the opposite - the rolls of one caused severe negative reactions.

As for the level of paranoia your character exhibits: it hasn't really risen strongly yet, in part as a a response to the actions you have posted, and in part due to rolls. Had your character's crazy index risen a bit more, he might have simply refused to walk into the store to begin with, suspecting a plot by THEM to get him registered. I actually have a metric for crazy / sane, as well as one for control / powerlessness, and one for the level of effect on the real world that each person's madness causes directly. look at Salsacookie's character for a good example of somewhat heightened direct effect, and Xantalos' for near zero effect :P [/Gm Cruelty] I think Harry's character perhaps has the most direct craziness effect (that is, how he perceives the world, not how the world is affected by it). Him or blazing_glory. [/Game mechanics exposition]

That said, I am sure my characterization could use some improvement, and will work that way. Keep hinting in what direction you think your character will react to negative stimuli, and i will be better able to write that way. All of what I have said here is just to give an idea of what is in my head about this game, not to force anyone to act in a given way or to think about their character in a given way.

Goal: HUNT.

Try eating that semi-edible thing that I don't know the exact nature of again. See if that draws the creatures out.

The being that was once STAN floats almost serenely in the soft greyness of unconsciousness for what seems to be an infinitely long time.

After an eternity of a finite length, it turns to its surroundings.
