You work at moving the stones on the bottom of the well into a pile.
Does it work well enough to get out of the shallow water?

You fail to make a sizeable pile of stones, your hands are going numb working and fumbling around in the cold water.
You get a funny memory about stories concerning corporations dumping radioactive waste in wells.
Its laughable to think you'd mutate so horribly from something like that to where you'd grow a new appendage.
You check yourself over, did you grow a new appendage?

The lump separates from your side and falls into the shallow water.
At least its not attached to your side anymore.
The lump grows several lumps on it and using its four lumpy legs stands up, wags it lump tail and barks.
Yup your probably going insane, this well must be full of gas.
