Johanna's tone was gruff and unfriendly. They had gone to a lot of trouble to free this fellow and he seemed...sort of unconcerned with the danger they were all in.

"Well. To start, you can pick up one of those eggs, and help us get out of here. No time to talk until we're in a safer place. Friend.

...What are we gonna do with them, anyway..."

Action: Right. Let's haul those those eggs out of here! (I can unlock the stairway door now, for sure) Cancel this action if the lizards are about to attack us if we do. Then I suppose we just retreat.

Also, my personal info check on Dragon eggs. What can we do with them, anyway? Do chromatic Dragons care about their offspring, anyway? Would metallic dragons destroy chromatic eggs or spare them? Will they be mad if we make them into Omelettes?

Mirella smiled more gently, giving a slight wince.  "The others shall, I am certain, introduce themselves once we are out, but I am Mirella, a priestess of Selune.  Are you alright?"

With the extra help, the eggs are easy to move. The drakes do not intervene nor attempt to follow. As Johanna stands on the threshold of the cave, she can't help but feel that the force that stayed behind must have a leader of some sort, and none of the foes they fought today fit the bill.

(Johanna's Int Check: 9+4)
Johanna isn't sure what can be done with dragons eggs, but Sheila should know.
(Johanna's Int Check: 19+4)
If the chromatic dragon has minions, they will forget about the eggs, leaving them in the hands of their underlings. If not, they'll care for eggs until they invariably get bored and leave. From that point on, the dragonlings will descend on each other, killing each other off until only one remains. At school, Johanna had read some papers from wizards who believed that this might one of the causes of chromatic dragon's disposition towards violence and domination.
(Johanna's Int Check: 1+4)
Johanna has no idea how metallic dragons would deal with a chromatic egg. Not only is it very situational to each dragon individually, opinions are divergent across the entire spectrum. The specific issue of omelets is even more complicated.

Arwen takes a look at the eggs, pondering. There was someone... That woman... Wasn't she near here? Surely she would have stayed behind... "... I get the feeling we're not quite done here. Elf, are you handy in a battle? I wouldn't ask but I've taken quite the injury, and it's starting to take it's toll. I can barely hold my sword properly." Even a single dragon scale was quite valuable... If that woman was a mercenary, would she not stay behind to pick up scraps from the hatchlings? Or sell them to the odd wizard or fool who thought they could handle a dragon? Something was off.

He pointed to his own drakes, letting out an order. "Jiakali, shivi ve." Hopefully they would serve him well until they were out of this damnable cave.

Arwen makes the intelligence checks about the eggs as well, lifting one if he is able.

"I am...ah, as well as can be expected.  I shall recover with a touch of rest."  She looked over at where the roper had discarded her pack.  "I fear that my pack fared far worse than I, just as I fared worse than the others.  It seems the others wish to make haste, so I should see if I can salvage anything.  If you like, I am certain they would appreciate a helping hand."

See if I can salvage any of my possessions without getting close to the roper, and thank my lucky stars I'm not reliant on a spellbook.

(Arwen's Int Check: 12+2)
Adrik isn't sure what to do with dragon eggs besides making an omelet with them, but perhaps his uncle would know. He'd definitely know how to season it.
(Arwen's Int Check: 2+2)
One of the ex-adventurers in the guard back at home told Arwen that dragons eat their young when they reach seven tendays exactly.
(Arwen's Int Check: 2+2)
A metallic dragon would probably make an omelet out of a chromatic dragon egg.

(Adrik's Int Check: 13+1)
The obvious thing to do with the egg is to raise it.
(Adrik's Int Check: 4+1)
One would think that Adrik's draconic heritage would give some genetic memory or inherent knowledge, but no such luck. He's got no idea what they do with their young, but they clearly had some with elves or humans. [Researcher:] Any library with a serious and diverse collection of books on dragons in general should have more information. Baldur's Gate is the closest city that first the description.
(Adrik's Int Check: 20+1)
That's a really complex question. Tome after tome has been written on the subject. Some metallic dragons would destroy the egg. Some would attempt to raise it to good. Some would have it returned to its parent. The diversity of opinion on the subject is enough to fill a library- and it has. However, it's practically a moot point; metallic dragons actually getting their hands on a chromatic dragon's egg is unheard of. Either the egg is destroyed in the attempt to steal it, they are unfertilized, or the egg is stolen from the thieves. For the most part, however, most metallic dragons have a certain amount of respect for their chromatic counterparts and don't send adventurers to steal their eggs.

The roper is indifferent as Mirella dashes underneath it to retrieve her pack. It seems to be taking a nap; it's tentacles are tucked into its stony body.

"Ach...What do we think we should do with the eggs?  We can prob'ly raise them...

I can do some research on how if we can find a decent library.  Baldur's Gate comes t'mind as closest."

"I believe I am. I have honed mine skills to a fine point in mine travels, and the mighty Beyzgot lends me his favor in battle."

"Verily! I shalt endeavour to aid in any way."

The elf turns to Johanna and indicates the eggs.

"Thou wish't for me to carry one of... those are eggs? No matter. Mine assistance is needed, correct?"

Arwen nods. "Good answer. You're on frontline duty while I try to magic my rib better. I am not hopeful of this endeavor, since I just started casting yesterday." He pauses at the mention of raising the eggs. "... Actually... My Uncle would probably know what to do. We could try taking the eggs to him."

"My uncle is a full fledged wizard, with a library. Well... He was last I checked. I could use some answers for why I can suddenly cast anyway, and I'm sure he'd be able to help me out. It's not THAT far out of the way, anyway."

Arwen contemplates his uncle, trying to remember how best to get to his home from here. In addition, if he'd ever heard of his uncle handling a problem like this before.

Mirella checked through her pack, confirming that everything was mostly intact, most significantly the samples she had retrieved for the herbalist.  Carefully wrapping up some samples of roper dung, she added them to the samples and rejoined the others.

May as well check for petrified cobwebs as well, since that's the last thing on the list

Arwen grew up in a small town on the outskirts of the city of Berdusk, only a day or two of riding to the north. His uncle should be there, but he might be traveling; he was in talks with a college in another city to do a lecture series on some obscure magical theory. He had never dealt with dragon eggs before, focusing mostly on obscure magical theory involving the Spellplague.

Mirella finds the cobwebs in the cavern above the trash dump. The mineralized spiderweb comes down easily and gently, a tough, but light material. It feels wierd in Mirella's hands, like a paper rock.
