There's something in the back of the fungi?

It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

Adrik moves closer to the edge of the drop-off, and sees, in the darkness, more cave and more fungi. And what, from a distance, looked like a stalactite, is now revealed to be a halfling, tied to the ceiling. It's hard to discern much more more in the deep shadows. They don't seem to have noticed your approach.

"There's a halfling tied up to the ceiling over in the fungus.  We want to rescue them then?"
((I guess they don't look like a cultist???))

Arwen nods, moving towards the Fungi and swinging his blade! This distance combat wasn't his strong suit, and at the worst, he could use one of his cantrips... But for now....

Arwen does what Arwen does best. USE HIS SWORD.

Adrik:
They are dressed in pantaloons and a dapper waistcoat. It's a safe bet to say they're not a cultist.

Arwen:
All that's left is the carcases of the downed fungi, and a haphazardly cultivated garden of mushrooms. Is Arwen sure he wants to charge in attack the garden?

Adrik grabs Arwen's shoulder.
"Ach, ye should nae go in there, who knows what those things do!!"

Arwen pauses, thinking there were more violent mushrooms than the ones that lay before him.

"How do you suggest we get him down then?"

Mirella approached the edge, eyeing the mushrooms.  "There appears to be a safe path that one can follow below this cliff, one which should not require stepping on any of those mushroom clusters, and another on the far side of the mushrooms.  If no one objects, I could follow it."

Without any objections from the others, Mirella nods, then begins climbing down the steps towards the halfling.

Move to halfling, heading from the stairs down via X23

"Hopefully this isn't some elaborate trap... If it is I'm setting him on fire."

Arwen readies himself for battle, just in case.

The moment Arwen says the word "trap", he remembers that one of the steps is trapped. After relaying this information to Mirella, the cleric makes it down to the bottom, avoiding the trapped step carefully.
With a searingly hot blast of divine light, Mirella cuts through the halfling's bonds, and he falls to the ground, the impact cushioned by the fungi. She drags him out of the fungi, and he, very groggily, looks at her.
"Why thank you, Otto! I wasn't sure I was going to get out of that pickle until you came along! I do believe you're quite due for a raise when we get back to Underbough Park! Now, fetch the carriage, Otto, and let's be home! Have Miss Turpentine put on some tea, would you?"
