The woman advances on the cultist, her voice full of fury. "You think that it might have been a Dwarf? A DWARF?! Is that ALL you found?"
In response to her advancement, the cultist stumbles backwards, and trips over their own feet. They stammer out a "Yes, ma'am!" before the woman grabs a halberd that was propped against the nearby wall. She spins around quickly to wind up, and her halberd sounds like it collides with the cultist's head with a crunch, and she pulls it out with a wet schlurp sound.
After a stunned moment, she steps back from the mutilated cultist, and picks up a cloth from a rack of strange equipment to wipe the blade clean. The equipment seems to be designed to be heavy, but that's all Adrik can discern from the mirror.
Her voice now sharp like a razor, she extends a finger to the exit, and breathes "If this is how I deal with someone who did not do exactly as I asked, think about what I'll do to you if you don't find them."
With this, the rest of the cultists turn tail and run, eager to not get a halberd to the face. The corpse still lying on the ground, the woman collapses into a chair in front of a table and mutters loudly "I don't need this shit right now."

((Oops, did I not have a 'keep listening'?))

Signal the others to stay down for a moment.  I want to hear boss lady vent.

Arwen disagrees and thinks we should bumrush the lady while she's not paying attention, but eavesdrops as well.

(Adrik's Perception: 20+1)
The woman mumbles under her breath, but Adrik's draconic senses are tuned to very quiet and very loud noises; the slightest breeze could signal a Thief in the Shadows, and dragon wings are like a hurricane, and thus loud. Today, they kick into high gear, and make out the woman's complaints perfectly. "These idiots don't know what they're dealing with. I'll show the Speakers! I'll show all those fuckers! If I just had a drop, a single drop of dragon blood, I could be a Wyrm Speaker in under a year! I just need to eliminate the saboteurs and get the boots to work! Ah, there I go talking to myself again. I need to stop doing that."
She stands up, and stomps over to a small foot chest by a bed. Pulling out a pair of simple, black leather boots, she stamps back to sit down at the table, and carefully puts the boots on. She stands back up, and takes a stance. (Arcana: 3+3, Failure.) It seems vaguely familiar, but Adrik can't place it. She carefully raises a foot, and brings it down fiercely, hitting the ground with determined force.
And nothing happens.
She raises it again, and brings it down, again. And all it raises is a small cloud of dust.
She does it again, and again, and after a dozen tries, she rips off the boots and throws them in a corner, before shitting down in a huff on a padded bench near the rack of equipment.

Arwen, already half way up the ladder, finishes his climb before anyone else.
(Arwen's Stealth: 15+2, Success!)
Mirella is next, clambering up as quietly as her armor allows.
(Mirella's Stealth: 6+0, Failure!)
The woman hears the clank of Mirella's armor from the shaft, and notices the bulge caused by Adrik's spying, and jumps into action as the three adventurers who were able to make it part way up the shaft spill out.

It is Arwen's turn!
The purple robed woman is unarmed, having left her pike halfway across the room. Those who are not at the top of the shaft can emerge into the surrounding squares with a simple move action.

Action: Get up there and poison spray the purple witch! That should keep her quiet...

Edit: If I get silenced, rush and grapple her!

(Arwen's Attack: 4+7, Failure!)
In his weakened state, Arwen's charge is half-hearted, and his swing is lacking in power. It slices through her robes, revealing the silver shine of hidden chainmail.

With her now in full view, the party is able to get a good look at the woman.
