My, my, this is basically a Diplomacy game on steroids, even more than the previous iterations of EoD.  I joked about Juggernauts before, but it's almost a tradition to have someone forget that StP-Nwy connection until they receive an unwelcome reminder from the Russian player. ^_^

I considered it, but I figured if I didn't attack him, he'd attack me.  Particularly if I removed my men from the boarder to build up further.  Besides, when else would I have a straight run right at his capital?

Given that I'm allied to the both of you, it was unlikely that would've happened. And given that his units were more preparing to seize the Baltic from the HRE.

So I'm going to broker a bit of a peace between the two of you. You withdraw and cede back the territory to the republic and we all forget this ever happened. Agreed?

I would have been very surprised if you had, considering that it basically boiled down to "give away everything you just won and lie back for the inevitable preemptive-counter-betrayal now that they know what you're willing to do."  Especially since it's coming from a country that will have to fight its way through the largest NPC on the board to reach you. 

Which is, to be fair, every country except Britain right now. And neglects the possibility of an HRE-Prussian alliance. ^_^

Also I know I have to fight the HRE. But slap a few fortifications on my border provinces, and I gain the initiative of being able to strike where and when I want. And I only need the one province to aid the hanseatic.
