Charles had ridden passenger on a wyvern before, so he knew where to sit and what to do on the wyvern. He'd been taught under the mention of 'preventing a foreign policy disaster'. Whatever that meant.

CHAPTER 1 - COMPLETE!

"Well struck, Sir Vendison."

"The battle is over, and from the looks of the village Lord Heston likewise won the day. There will be a lot of bodies that need to be cleared..." Klessen sighed and returned to the labor camps to gather a crew.

Meanwhile.. Acacia and Charles Heston gave chase to the fleeing daughter.

[Furtuka]

Acacia drove Rhodon further, until they had eventually outpaced her. At that point the Wyvern swerved around to get in her path, hovering just above Danira's height.

"Going somewhere missy?"

Noting the nasty looking crossbow in her hand, Acacia had Rhodon set down so that she and Charles could dismount.

With the cry of victory, Nanoha drops her staff with a hiss of pain.

:"Why...does my arm hurt so much?"
She asks, cradling her right arm.

[Swordstar]

"Ugh, glad that's over. Don't know how much longer I could have stayed on my feet here. That was not an easy fight. What were they aiming for? The man said something about his family being good if he achieved his objective?"

[Tawa]

"Well struck, Sir Vendison."

"Thank you, milord. I shall help clean the bodies."

"Good thing that's over, yeah. I was getting tired. Hey, Caroline - mind if I get a lift to the castle?"

Despite her general outgoing personality, Tirena was tired, her weakened body not holding up to prolonged battle. She leant on her bow for support.

Charles dismounted the wyvern, his hands at his sides, but still close enough to grab one of his lances, hoping not to startle the girl more than she probably already was. He was willing to use force, but only if she made the first move.

Danira's run abruptly stopped and she spun around, pointing her crossbow at Acacia as they landed and prepared to fire if they approached even another step.

"Y-you! Stay back or I'll end you." Danira eyed Acacia's wounds, considering whether she should do so now, and how strong Heston would be when she needed to take him down as well.

"Good thing that's over, yeah. I was getting tired. Hey, Caroline - mind if I get a lift to the castle?"

Caroline clops down the road on top of her donkey, with the prisoner tied up and in tow. The hunters follow behind, ready to shoot the raider if she tries anything.

"Certainly, Miss Tirena, I 'ave room for anoder." She holds her palm on D'artagnan's neck until the donkey's movement comes to a stop.

"'op up wid me." Caroline reaches out to give Tirena a helping hand.

[Sirus]

Mordecai moved in the direction of the fleeing crossbowwoman, pulling out Nightosphere as he did so. Perhaps she would be more open to surrendering alive when threatened not only with wyverns and lords but with magic she could not possibly counter...

Tirena accepted the help, plopping onto the donkey behind the healer.

"Ah, thank you."
She wrapped her arms around Caroline's middle - to reduce the risk of falling off, of course.

While the others went on to chase the fleeing girl, Kristii whistled a cheery tune as she did a task of her own: taking all the knick-knacks and gold pouches she had roughly taken off of bandit bodies during the course of the battle, she actually took them all up off of the ground and arranged them to her body and robes-- now when she walked the clinking, clanking, and jingling of all of her loot could be heard, grinning at the knight and swordswoman near her.
