:"Yep, that's me: Kristii!"
:"And, nah, these are just scratches, they'll heal up fine in an hour or few. Oh, and it wasn't the Bob guy-- I saw you doing the magic lessons so I decided to grab the tomes and try it out for myself aaaand it worked! Just scratched me a lil'."

[Sirus]

Mordecai was dumbfounded.

: "You...you just grabbed someone's possessions...that you KNEW were potentially dangerous...I just..."

: *sigh*

: "So...the tome reacted to your touch? Fascinating. It appears that you can also wield dark magic, at least once you get a bit more practice. Have you had any formal magical training, Kristii?"

[Powder Miner]

:"Basically, yeah! And, nah, I haven't got any formal training."

[Sirus]

: "Hmm. Unfortunately I don't have any other tomes except for the one you cut yourself with...here, take mine. It's fairly weak as far as Dark Magic goes and easy to control." He held out his Swarm tome.

[Powder Miner]

Kristii grabbed the tome and lightly flipped through it, holding it in the air.
:"Cool. Thanks!"

[Sirus]

: "Ah, I will want it back! Ancient tomes can be hard to come by."

[Powder Miner]

:"HHhhokay. Not like I'm gonna be trying to use it all of the time anyway."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Heh. That would be odd, wouldn't it? Still, you'll have to tell me some day."

She listened to Mord and Kristii's conversation.
"Seems we have a lot of dark magic among us. Our enemies souls beware, huh?"

[Sirus]

The vampire sighed.

: "Dark magic does not do anything to anyone's souls. Not the main schools of it, anyway. Misconceptions like that are what lead to dark magic being feared among the simple folk."

: "Still, that is an interesting point. It is unusual for there to be so many potential dark mages in one group like this."

[GiglameshDespair]

"But during your talk to leechles.. what was it you said? Boiling people's bones, stripping their flesh, destroying souls? "
"Whatever. I'd fear something that could summon a swarm of bugs too. Nothing good ever came from insects."

[Sirus]

: "Actually, insects are good for a number of things. Honey, for one thing."

[GiglameshDespair]

"But bees are tiny flying demons, so that cancels that out."

[F.O.E.]

"I can't deny that..." Charles said with a nervous chuckle. "Klessen would probably throw a fit."

[Swordstar]

"Well as fun as that would be to see, probably best we avoid that for now. By the way, the brother and sister who just joined us, will they be setting up shop here or traveling with us when we go and fight?"

[Powder Miner]

:"Naaah, bees are fine, it's the rodents you wanna watch out for. Nasty little guys."
