[Sirus]

: "...well well. Now this IS interesting."

: "Your name was Lilie, correct? Tell me Lilie, why did you come here? Think carefully."

[Swordstar]

"Is it safe to let go of her yet or no?"

[UXLZ]

"I-interesting? Wh-what's interesting about t-this!?"

Lilie fumbles around her words for a bit longer.

"W-why I'm here? I-I don't really know... I remember s-seeing this big castle and thinking that going inside w-was something I should d-do... I-it was almost like I was under some s-sort of spell, but I thought it was just me h-having a whim."

[F.O.E.]

"At least move your sword away from her back," Charles said after a bit of thought.

[Swordstar]

Vara nodded and returned her sword to her scabbard, though she took the opportunity to adjust her grip, using both her arms to hold the blood soaked girl.

[Sirus]

Mordecai gave a nod to Vara; the girl seemed to be out of it for now, and if worse came to worst there was virtually no way for a single woman to win a fight against all of them.

: "Lilie, I believe that you may be a vampire. Obviously not a full one however, and that's extremely rare. I would like for you to stay around for a time, while we get this situation sorted out." He pulled a handkerchief from his sleeve and handed it to the purple-haired girl. "Go ahead and clean your face off, and get your thoughts in order. We'll talk in a bit."

[UXLZ]

Lilie accepts the handkerchief gratefully and cleans herself, managing to remove the blood from her clothing as well.

"A-a half vampire? B-but ho-"

With visible effort, Lilie attempts to calm herself.

"No, you're right... I-I need to get my thoughts in order... I'll be ready to talk soon."

Wanders somewhere in the room and slumps down against a wall.

[Sirus]

Mordecai watched her go, then sighed and turned his attention to the various bodies on the ground.

: "...I suppose we should clean these up."

[F.O.E.]

"Wouldn't that also fall under the villagers job of fixing this place up?"

[Sirus]

Mordecai shrugged.

: "I suppose you could do things that way. Of course, the peasants do not know anything about you and might not be willing to come in here just yet. Especially if some of these corpses were once their loved ones."

[Swordstar]

Vara leaned against one of the pillars and frowned.

"Suppose it's probably beneath your Lordship to be cleaning these up, huh? Though, I don't think most of these bodies are recognizable as any one person. They're either bones or... gross."

[F.O.E.]

"That's true, we should probably at least clean up the zombies, no matter how rotted and disfigured they are. There is a difference between hearing and seeing afterall."

Vara leaned against one of the pillars and frowned.

"Suppose it's probably beneath your Lordship to be cleaning these up, huh? Though, I don't think most of these bodies are recognizable as any one person. They're either bones or... gross."

Charles countered Vara's frown with a deeper frown.

"It was more of a question about our condition, we just came out of our first battle together, a rather difficult one at that. If you want to clean up, and are able to, I will not just standby and lord over you as you do it, I will also lend a hand as best I can."

[Sirus]

Mordecai shrugged again.

: "You are the lord of this fief now. I suppose no one can make you clean bodies if you don't want to."

[Swordstar]

"Got healed up just fine, so I can help, don't worry. Been through a lot worse in trai... my time as a mercenary."

She started to work on getting a body out, mentally cursing herself for that slip. She was a mercenary. That's all they needed to know. As far as they needed to know, she'd never been a part of any army.

[Sirus]

The vampire, lacking the muscle power to drag whole corpses, began gathering armfuls of bones from the skeletons instead.
