We can use the simulation to stress-test all the systems, plan and prepare for various emergencies, and with the ease of the tools available we might get some interesting new designs for better ships.

A for crew status, only one got injured in that brouhaha, and he only required a couple stitches. Right now, nothing looks close to breaking, and morale is high. Time to destination:19 years, give or take

Excellent, sweatshops designed, then my vote is for plan build hope with fancy houses then dash it with depressing landscapes.  Houses first.
Alternatively, we can load up the VR pods with games where their task is to build the best, most efficient extra-solar outpost ever.

EDIT: Can we recreate the ship using the 2058 equivalent of Kerbal Space Program?

That works, I don't have much of an idea about specifics.

Do we want to try for building housing for the ARK or building a secondary cryo storage facility?  I mean either way we need to set up and make industry, but I mean as a long term goal.

We'll see how it turns out. Assuming the flight goes well and the landing isn't too bad we should be able to aim for ARK housing. As for when we should get there, I think we ought to aim for a 15 year trip. It'll be a bit safer and our dudes won't get massive morale penalties for waiting too long for the ARK ships.

EDIT: What does ARK stand for?

EDIT2: As for how long the trip should take, let's see how long it takes for our guys to make outposts in Sim Colony 7: Reckoning and then base the trip length on that.

Anyway, the Dice gods are way to nice. Crit fail and no deaths, but just one wounded. The ship is going to explode on landing for sure.

Let's use the VR program to design a first generation fusion reactor. One that uses the more available deuterium-tritium reaction rather than requiring He-3.

I would say seeing about cranking out a VR CAD program, and checking over the outside of the ship for damage. Which may only be possible via cameras.

Because I dont think we have a VR CAD program yet.

Yeah, we really need to fix up that outer airlock. A failure there would be problematic, especially since I doubt this ship has a great amount of airlocks.
