DJOHAAL AEROSPACE SHOWROOMtm

Testimonial:

Quote
10/10 would like to be probed with - Forasken1111, another satsfied consumer.

So I decieded to restart my KSP sharing focusing mainly on the main protagonists of the game, the rockets. Instead of presenting the space program on a linear way, which is difficult to keep track and store the pictures and post on a timely fashion. Thanks to shitlicious Brazilian internet I can't stream anything other than KSP.ppt either.

I decided just showing the rockets and probes I designed is a good compromise. So here we go. Beware of huge images as the kronal vessel viewer mod (bless it) makes HUGE rocket shots.

Early airship series:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Jet-powered procedural airship. Didn't work so well.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Second attempt at the jet-powered blimp business. This one broke mach 1.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Neilzor kerman plopping a flag and inside the pod. She's a pilot. She's fearless like jeb. She has the Badass = true tag on her save. She's jeb's wife now.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Magnetic probing probe. Inspired on the voyager.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Triple thermal telescope launcher, lots of delicious science to be made. Last stage is powered by a hydrogen-nuclear thermal rocket system. Currently deployed on the mun.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Nuclear-powered ducted fan quadcopter. Designed for exploring eve's upper atmosphere. Currently in-transit.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

SSTO designed for hauling rocket parts to LKO. Flight and orbit capable, pending some slight adjustments on the landing procedure - last time landing was so tense I yelled "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL" at teamspeak.  Aerodynamics are done with NEAR.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Launching rocket with side-opening bay containing a probe for probby business.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Munar lander, including in-action shots.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Low-distance flyer with vertical takeoff. (Not pictured: catastrophic failure)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Duna probe with orbital anchor and sufrace surveying module.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

In-operation in duna. Results were better than expected with a perfect landing. Breathtaking duna skybox not included.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Multiple-satelite launch vehicle. Satelites are employed to provide communications cover to most of kerbin's SOI and beyond.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Munar probing probe that probes the probing probe spots.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Another nuclear-powered ion probe. This one went to Moho but sadly failed to perform a sucessful orbital capture.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kerbal research station I, in orbit at 500km. initial deployment phase. Pictured the highly sucessful Koyuz series return capsules.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Delivery of one of the D1-ZZY series cyclotrons for orbital quantum kerbdynamics research on the negative graviolli.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Fully crewed and operational station. The spaceplane hauled six kerbscientists and fresh life support materials for the station. Not pictured: Jesus piloting the SSTO on the return trip.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Obligatory rokkit phallus.

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

I have no idea how to operate this thread but heres a picture of my fuel shuttle after an emergency ocean landing test.

Now I'm too ashamed to even talk about my derpfail rockets.
BTW, what software do you use for those design schematics?? And did they release the patch with Girlbals already?? And dirigible parts? This is a mod, or have I been overlooking vast parts of the game?

Pictures are taken with the Kronal Vessel Viewer mod, it takes them in-game for no fuss fun! The girlbals are part of the texture replacement mod (it supports custom kerb textures, that's why my jeb has a raging 70's pornstache and my bob is black) while the dirigibles are part of the procedural airship parts mod.

Insanity tidbit:

And yes, i got this to orbit. Yes the rocket is crooked on purpose.  :P

I did something like that once:

Please, please shove in the tags that limit the size of the images.

@ Aseaheru: Do you know how are they formatted on SMF? I'll gladly add them.

Some developments on our space program:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Our aberration of a rover being delivered safely on the mun.. it did require a /few/ more boosters though.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Soon after the rover surveyed potential locations work began on a munar base. All the modules were dropped trough a precise skycrane method (I should screenshot that someday)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

All the modules are shipped with detachable wheels once the definitive position is located

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Retrieval of the modules. Four modules were taken to the mun at once (but without machinery, a important detail!)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This was the most stressful one to maneuver.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This large mining and refining complex was assembled in-situ with resources hauled from kerbin...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

...Via this sexy orbiter!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Current state of the munbase, we also deployed a science lab with a phased array antenna for energy transmission experiments, however our tiny 0.65 reactor isn't up to the performance for transmission, so we'll need to deploy a larger reactor eventually.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Experimental nuclear thermal SSTO spaceplane, apart from spontaneous disassembly upon takeoff this design is promising but more research is required until it can deliver useful payload. (namely a hotter reactor core)

First iteration of the base, since we had to safely shelter and feed 10 kerbals many greenhouse and kerbitat (tm) modules were required)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Our eve flyer as it approached eve

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Detachment of the quadcopter module

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Glorious re-entry burn.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

After things cooled down and...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

We lost satelite uplink right at the most delicate moment...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Oribtal fuel depot, currently this sits unused as our spaceplane program was cut down due to excessive real time charge.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Following our fiasco due to a communication mishap two of these satelites were positioned on top of the north and south poles in highly eccentric Molnya orbits to ensure greater comms coverage to all of kerbin.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Deployment of the satelite.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Tiny asteroid research probe, that tiny ion engine makes it go quite far!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Duna explorer rover with base platform.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Lifter with NTR-based propulsion for interplanetary travel. We value efficiency.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A heavier asteroid retrieving module, this one designed to capture a Class III asteroid and bring it to kerbin's SOI...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

... and we then used this immensely powerful magnetoplasmodynamic-powered hauler to toss it away from the kerbol system forever. Why? Because we can!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Kerbal command was impressed with the performance of the MPD engines so much they asked us to design a much more powerful rocket for a manned (kerbaled?) mission to the Red Planet, alongside its gray moon.
