Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)
Bartolomeu is left drooling for a little while without understanding what exactly just happened. There's a little voice of reason at the back of his head that tells him that, no matter what happens, he should keep his mind free of his opinion on psykers messing with his mind, at least for a while. And if the opinion does come up on his mind, he should try his damnedest not to make it sound colorful.

"Ughh..." The Commissar rubs his temples and shakes his head. "Get moving back to the camp."

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Amalia claps loudly as the Commissar made his pained order. With a quick "Yessir!" she starts to sprint her way over to the camp.

Her regiment-assigned guardian, Artho, having been much too angry at the very concept of mornings and doing things during them to speak earlier, finally brightens up enough to let off a remark before following after her: "Might we actually get a chance to fight enemies of the imperium? I was beginning to get worried we'd just run around stabbing, you know, other Guardsmen all day."

"Trooper Artho, right?" Bartolomeu asks, turning his head slightly to the side to get an eye on the man who had decided to let loose a wisecrack during a very inopportune moment. "What did you say, again? Have in mind I have a headache and my hearing might not be the same after firing my bolt pistol so many times."

Not wishing to decrease his former regiment's survivor count by 1, Artho got to rephrasing very quickly.
"Ah... I was saying that I was glad to finally have a chance to battle the enemies of the Imperium instead of this regrettable conflict between Guardsmen."

"Truly a laudable outlook." Bartolomeu says, returning his attention back to the path ahead.

Artho sighed, and looked at Amalia, who had already sprinted a distance away.
"Well, I'll have to go grab Amalia then, she's pretty much almost gone already... ugh. It wouldn't kill her to slow down. I sure hope we have time at some point to brew some recaf. Would do everyone here some good, I suspect. Except Amalia, who should never be allowed near the stuff."

"Ah, sirs? I suggest we use the Chimera to return, else we may not be there in time..."

"Then go fetch that chimera, trooper." Bartolomeu replies with bloodshot eyes before returning to groaning and grunting in displeasure. "I need a frakking cold cup of cold herb-brew recaf." The Emperor is certainly kind of a joker sometimes judging by how He took the commissar away from a comfortable propaganda assignment.

"Yesssir."

Marn clambers into the Chimera, saying a prayer to the machine spirit to continue working even with the damage to its coolant lines.

Grumbling momentarily to himself, Artho jogged out a bit, ringed his hands around his mouth and: "AMALIA, GET BACK HERE, WE'RE TAKING THE CHIMERA!"

Amalia changed direction.

The announcement on the loudspeakers catches Diego escorting Tamerian sniper to commissars tent.

To think of landing on a new world looking that sloppy, with my garment wet with blood of some low-life scum...

Hurry to take her in, then go prepare for entering realspace

===============================================Everyody (ex. Diego and Viverde)

You all enter the Chimera in a vaguely orderly fashion. The engine shudders, and the vehicle takes off. The cramped troop space seems more claustrophobic than usual somehow.

===============================================Marn

The engine starts nicely, and the temperature gauge doesn't seem to be climbing very far from the norm. You think you'll be fine if you don't redline it for too long. After all, the Chimera is a durable little bastard of a machine. You drive in the direction of camp.

===============================================Amalia

You reach the Chimera and take your assigned seat (near Comissar Viverde's now empty one - precautions, precautions). The rest of the squad piles in after you. As Marn starts the engine and takes off, your mood starts darkening inexplicably. Stray thoughts scurry around in your head. You shudder at some of them. What's with you today?

You're suddenly aware of a faint whispering sound all around you. You can't discern any words, and you're not sure if you want to. Sticking your fingers in your ears does nothing. The shadows that the one lamp inside the Chimera casts become brittle and sharp, shifting ever so slightly. The light itself looks sick. Your psychic focus is unpleasantly warm and slippery to the touch.

Something is very wrong.

===============================================Viverde and Diego

You are escorting the dejected sniper to camp. The commissar is carrying her longlas, while Diego has appropriated her pistol for now.
You're about halfway there, when she abruptly stops in her tracks, making Maria drop an ammo drum. You put your hands on your weapons, determined not to let her try anything funny, but she just stands there, shaking slightly. She is very pale.
"H-hey... Do you hear that? Why's it saying all those things? You know I never really meant it, right? Why...
She looks at Diego, or precisely, over his shoulder. There is nothing there. You can hear the rumble of a Chimera engine behind you.

'Trooper?' Viverde asked, uneasy. Was that the squad's Chimera? They were returning quickly. Hopefully they would not get run over by a speeding driver.

He looked at their muttering captive. 'Explain yourself, trooper. Hear what?'

Viverde readied his pistol. Hearing voices was never a sign of anything good, and there was nothing he could do for a Guardsman who'd lost it... or worse.

'Let's keep moving,' he said, glancing back towards the source of the noise every now and then.

Keep moving. Stick to the side of the path in case we need to dodge a speeding Chimera.

- Just hurry up, Kimmerel. I only heard the  speakers - and they said we enter realspace in 5 minutes. We had a munitorum priest at our camp, you can seek counsel with him if something bothers you.

Diego keeps walking, but half-turns to keep Kimmerel in sight as well as Chimera, and waves hand - hopefully Marn will give them a boost to the camp.
His right hand hasn't yet left the pistol grip.

Amalia had gone from being as chatty and energetic as usual to being worryingly silent... and upon looking at the young psyker, one would see that she had broken into a cold sweat. Some rather horrific thoughts were surging to the fore unbidden (memories of That Place) and they had her locked into a silent misery, hemmed in by the suffocating remnants of past experiences.

It took Artho's suspicious "Amalia, the hell are you so quiet f--" to jolt Amalia into breaking the silence. First she made something of a strangled gasping sound, and then she began to babble. "Something-- something is up, something's going on, I don't know what, but something is very very very wrong!" She nervously put a hand to her temple and began looking around at the walls, trying to detect whatever was causing this.
