"That seems... unwise on the part of the captain. Extremely unwise. Suspiciously unwise, perhaps. Of all the forces he has access to, why choose the one force that is almost assured to have both the inclination and the authority to punish him for any perceived misconduct- at their own discretion- to fetch his contraband?"

"Sir, Perhaps because many humans appear, at least to the untrained in the church, to not live up to the standards setforth by our god-emperor? I mean, from what I have heard there are worlds that have rejected his light and word, while those that have accepted his position vary wildly."

"Although, I could be impossibly wrong. Anyone got a pictrecorder on them? This green bottle interests me, and perhaps an image would be more clear."

"That seems... unwise on the part of the captain. Extremely unwise. Suspiciously unwise, perhaps."

The commissar sighs. "Yes, yes, I already thought about that. I did not receive the note directly from the captain. Even if the request was made for some of you to fetch the box, he should have considered the possibility I would want to check its contents myself or tell you to do so. There is the distinct possibility someone is either framing him or simply appropriating his authority."

"It is either that or he is remarkably stupid."

He then turns towards the ratling. "You are witnesses and will serve me for the moment. Consider yourselves temporarily drafted to my command lest your sergeant decides to erase you in order to get rid of evidence."

Diego storms into the middle of the company, looking every barrablancan into the eye:
- Do you mean that our dignified captain ordered around a commissarial platoon to fetch him his booze? This is outrageous! That's a complete disgrace, for Emperor's sake!
Truly a sinful man.
Where's our part of the booze!

"Sir, Perhaps because most of the human race is either an idiot, retarded, or misinformed about just about everything?"
Emil looms over Marn and rests his hand upon the hilt of his chainsword.
I will see you in the confessional guardsman, for you are blaspheming against the Emperor with your words.
Hopefully the dumbass will learn to guard his tongue better - I really can't afford to have the Ecclesiarchy poking around.

This said, Emil returns to contemplating the Emperor - otherwise known as discreetly taking glances at Amalia's chest.
Thank the Throne that it isn't a total sausage fest around here anymore.

Go back to camp then search it myself to see how many other storm troopers are in the regiment.

'Thank you, Ogryn,' Viverde says. He nods to Gant. 'We'll discuss this later, Trooper. The rest of you, we'll take Bertha to the regiment.'

Return to camp to get Bertha under guard, get my wounds treated and find out where Commissar Denos and the commanding officer of the regiment are. Request a meeting over an inter-regimental disciplinary matter.

He then turns his attention back to the priest with slightly suspicious eyes, though he fails to notice the religious man's perversion. "Thank you for your assistance, Priest. The next occasion might need some more..." he pokes some of the viscera with the tip of his polished boot. "...Discretion, so I appreciate if such a thing was kept in mind."

"Close the box once again. We are taking it to our barracks to look for Viverde and Tristan. The Tamerian troopers will carry it and we will stand guard to make sure nothing wrong happens." the political officer then orders the troopers.

Return to the camp to find Viverde and Tristan.

Return to camp to get Bertha under guard, get my wounds treated and find out where Commissar Denos and the commanding officer of the regiment are. Request a meeting over an inter-regimental disciplinary matter.

The orderlies help Bertha walk, escorting her away while the medic treats your face. He says that thankfully the cleaver was sharp, so it's a clean cut. He glues the edges of the wound together with some strange-smelling unguent and admonishes you not to smile or yell too much during the next few hours.

Once you get back, Gant stalks off to somewhere, inscrutable as always. You head to Colonel Macias' tent, which is visible in the center of the compound and identifiable by its size and the red-and gold standard displayed over it. As you walk, you notice commissar Denos and a large amount of troopers in the distance - the commissar is easily identifiable by his uniform, of course.

Return to the camp to find Viverde and Tristan.

The Tamerians carry the box, listing a bit to the side occupied by Loggin, while the rest of the troopers keep an eye on them. Poor Tomard's mortal residue gets left behind to shock some wandering clerk.

The trip back passes without accident. After some surveying, commissar Viverde is found near the command tent, his face decorated by a fresh wound.

Go back to camp then search it myself to see how many other storm troopers are in the regiment.

Luck roll

There are a couple thousand troopers here all in all, so finding somebody specific is gonna be a major pain. You decide to stick to the tents that are known to house entertainment of various sorts, and at a stroke of luck, find five of your colleagues playing some elaborate game involving a deck of tarot and a knife in one of those.

Do I need to do a roll to persuade these troopers to join me?
Yep. Fellowship, +20. When you roll, quote this message, okay?

Tristan approaches the game nodding respectfully.

" Boys, I need a favour. Grab your gear then come find me."

Fellowship 32
+20 difficulty modifier.
Target 52.
Roll 10.
4 degrees of success.

Awareness-- 32, target 37, passed!
As she follows Commissar Denos, the teenage psyker gets something of an uneasy feeling. After a moment, thanks to the recon training she was provided with, her eyes are sharp enough to catch some movement on Emil's part... further observation reveals that he is in fact taking peeks at her chest. Amalia's eyebrows shoot upwards, before settling back down as Amalia gives the Ministorum Priest a particularly nasty glare.

"Well, back to the chimera then, I suppose. Comeon Poise, I think the autocannon still needs a bit of work..."

Back to the chimera I go, remembering to grab my "food" as I go.

"You have not been dismissed and I doubt the Chimera will go up in flames if you refrain from visiting it while we deal with this problem." the Commissar says to Marn before waving over his fellow political officer as he walks towards the younger man. "Viverde, what caused that wound?"

Catching Amalia's glare, Emil chuckles, scratches the back of his head and looks away.
Shit she made me! Well, better bite the bullet.

Emil walks over to her and speaks lowly

Can I please have a quiet word with you over there?

((Edited it to work better, now let the grovelling/flattery/bullshitting commence!))

'Commissar Denos,' Viverde said, nodding. He raised a hand to the slightly-itching wound. 'I was hoping to find you. There is an inter-regimental disciplinary matter we should discuss with the Colonel. In short - I was informed by some of our soldiers that three men were missing, last seen going into the maintenance areas. Trooper Gant and I investigated. We discovered a Tamerian Ogryn, panicked and out of control - the Ogryn gave me this. We disarmed, and, er, dislegged it in the process of subduing it,' Viverde continued, smiling a little at that. 'The thing couldn't remember much, but it seems it was part of a group of Tamerians who set out to 'take something owed to them' back from our regiment.'

He grimaced, lowering his voice. 'It appears they killed at least one of our men. This seems to be a delicate matter, to say the least - the last thing we need is a full-blown blood feud between us and those savages, Commissar.'

'The Ogryn is in custody now. It mentioned a few names - Kimmy, black hair, short, and Doppel, err, 'large',' Viverde concluded. He looked Denos' entourage over. 'You seem to have discovered something as well, sir?'
