I think we need to come to a conclusion on what our character is before we draw or design anything.

The keywords (river, summer, debug, and vengeful) are... quite difficult. Vengeful is pretty easy though, you can turn that into a character trait. it's tempting to turn both river and summer into themes for our character, but we also have sewer acting as what will probably be the theme of the game (which should be reflected by the character), and is difficult to combine with river.

Here is my first couple of attempts at some sort of character, they are not complete as they do not fully utilise all the words/ideas. Feel free to add/alter/come up with your own too.

  • Our characrer is an aspiring programmer, who took the phrase "debug" too literally and is now going through a sewer exterminating bugs with a keyboard? That gets two words (vengeful and debug), would be quite lighthearted, and involve a sewer. I'm stuck on river and summer though.
  • Our character is a sentient blob of sewer water. It was once part of the peaceful, pristine river system so long ago, destined for drinking water, but due to a software bug was taken away by Water Co when one of the intakes took from the wrong water source, and was used to flush someones poop down the toilet instead. The character is now rampaging through Water Co's headquarters to seek revenge by sliming all the incompetent programmers. Now our character is above the surface, it must now survive until summer, where it will be evaporated away and carried back to the river. This gets River, Summer, Vengeful, Debug (sort of), and is related to the idea of a sewer offensive (BY the sewer) and is lightheared.

...You know, don't take it as me being lazy (even though it is the case to be frank) but I kind of lost interest in this, can't really say why exactly though. Sorry for saying that now and not like, before the round started, though. :T
Mood swings suck, but at the same time I'm not really mentally stable lately.

Probably should've contributed something but sadly I realized I'm not really good at this...

Cool, we can swap you out with someone else or just keep going. Thanks for saying so early in the round. I sympathize, I feel really bad when I sign up for an RTD or a roleplay and then just lose the interest.
Anyone interested in taking his place?

Whoa, almost lost track of this since I don't usually browse FG&RP.
Sewer and river aren't that hard to unite, a sewer is usually portrayed as an underground river in popular culture anyway.

That turns the word river into a simile, not a bad idea, but then we have to keep in mind we not making a theme per-se, so the fact that the sewer is like a river would have to somehow be significant for our character. Maybe canoeing down the sewer is significant for our character, for example.

So a vengeful programmer in summer clothing canoeing down a sewer-river while smacking bugs with a keyboard, possibly?

...

I'd play that. :v

I can't really think of much consensus myself :V
Maybe we should do some brainstorming in chat or something?

Such is science. I'll work out what went wrong and make some appropriate medals. I think I point the finger of suspicion at the vagueness of the challenge and everyone not knowing they were actually in the challenge.

I would love to participate in this, but I have no skills.

Maybe creative, but everyone else's ideas always seem so superior to mine.
