He chuckles a little,"It's been awhile since I've met innocence. Not all of these people are terribly bad, but everyone does have their vice. The group you found yourself eating with is a nice bunch though. You may have to destroy a few lives tonight, I dare say even kill a few if you choose but I don't think any of your friends are in this residence this night, you're safe on that front"

[StrawBarrel]

"I guess vigilantism is not bad if justified." Smellinger comments and then drops the note into his coat pocket. "Do you have any questions for me?"

[Cryxis, Prince of Doom]

"How far are you willing to go?"

[StrawBarrel]

"I would think I could kill something in self defense of course, though I never had to of course. Maybe I could- I could kill someone if it was morally right to an extent." Smellinger blurts out quickly as he struggles to look at his friend’s ornate mask.
“But sometimes I fear- I..." Smellinger says before trailing off. After a moment, Smellinger sharply raises his craned neck to looks directly at the mask of the host to speak. "I could kill without remorse, but this is all just speculation of course.”

((A guy who calmly follows the orders of a complete stranger’s mysterious notes, which vaguely allude to potentially killing people, has to have quirks and a dark side.))

"Good, you seem to have an interest in my mask. Would you like closer look?"
He chuckles lightly

[StrawBarrel]

"Sure, if it is alright with you."

He removes his mask, you are stunned by the sight beneath, there is no skin or flesh, his face is just a bare skeleton with blue flames coursing inside his eyes.
He outstretches his arm to hand you the mask but you are too stunned to move.

V. X. Smellinger had the suspicion that his new friend was scarred in some way, but no thought ever crossed his mind that his visage would be just a skull. The shock seemed to have taken aback Smellinger for a minute until he could find the resolve to boldly move his lips.
"Did someone at the party do this to you or were you born like this? Either way, this does not change my thoughts on working with you at all, my friend."

"You've heard the fairy tells of warlocks and necromancers and terribly powerful people who control great and evil fortresses of great power?"

You hear the closed door behind you open and the master of the house greets him,"Hello Thomas, mind me a minute with Mr Smellinger here?"
The door closes quickly.

[StrawBarrel]

"Oh, so you're a magical man and this is your seat of power. And you want me to help you stay in power by vanquishing your foes."

((In case I got confused, the master of the house is still in the room and Thomas only closed the door, right?))

"Not quite but close. I am magical, I was created by a necromancer, I can say I remember nothing of my past life, I'm a new soul, And when the necro died I took his place as his most powerful creation. All of the servants here are his former creations, my brothers, who willingly serve me. My name is Quincy Soul-Reaper. Thomas, the servant in the hat with the green feather, he is my closest henchman, he has a nack for poisons and assassination, if you can't muster the will to kill someone he can do it. Some of the people here have artifacts that I require or hold business power that holds mine back, I need these things and you are going to help me. If you are thinking a skeleton in a nice suite can't be menacing you are probably right though you would be wrong if I were to slip on one or two of my magic rings."

"You probably already tried this, but have you tried talking to these people about giving you these things? Or did these people steal them from your family like Oakentosh did?"

"A few are stolen and a few are artifacts of great power, though they don't know how powerful they are they only know their value"

[StrawBarrel]

"That clears up a lot now."
