A delay tactic that doesn't cost fatigue isn't a bad advantage against a physically superior opponent. But the question remains whether that works on a physically superior opponent.

Yeah, it's not a bad advantage until you start to develop feelings for Mr. TrollWrestler McSoftHands.

Not all of my opponents are Misters. Haven't you noticed the M/F ratio in this game? Maybe it's just my world, but I wouldn't make any assumptions about genders.

I tend to play female bearded dwarfs for maximum awesomeness.

I wholeheartedly suggest a wrestler character for anyone, the results can be hilarious. Just don't try to open up on a vampire using strangulation; unless I was just way too weak, the one lady consort vampire I tried to slay didn't seem to need air as she shivved me in the gut and punctured a lung (after about twenty turns of "You strangle the lady consort vampire" with no results). Breaking all of their limbs seems to work fine as always, though. At least, so long as they're a species that has joints as of this version.

Vampires indeed do not need to breathe.

Does Kisat Dur work against giant, pissed-off saltwater crocodiles?

It does work, but a stab to the throat is less time consuming.
Question is though, if it's more fun.

The adventurer I'm using in Saltwater Crocodile Land lost his sword arm to-- you guessed it -- a saltwater crocodile. I saved the game last as I was holed up in an abandoned building. Thankfully crocodiles can't open doors. Yet. I could ditch my shield and replace it with a sword, but to get another sword I'd have to go to the marketplace or the keep, both of which have been overrun by crocodiles. Kisat Dur is my only hope.

The majority of enemies, a blade will be more effective against. But at the peak of skill, this is made moot by the amount of pressure a strike can exert; kicking a throat into gore is as efficient as stabbing it.

I doubt I would've survived the early game if I relied purely on martial arts. You can't develop as a purist unless you repeatedly do a lot of repetitive grinding against constantly weak enemies. That only sounds as redundant is does dull; I've done it with a few character builds in previous versions, but it's just too boring to consider doing ever again. With some worlds it just isn't feasible; weak enemies are too difficult to find.

One benefit of this form is that you never get your hands or feet stuck in an enemy (though wouldn't that be cool?) You might get enemies stuck in your teeth, so it's recommended you floss after chewing vampire limbs off.

Has anyone ever successfully gotten more than one limb in their teeth? Like by biting multiple limbs and then shaking to rip them off?
