Can I volunteer for fighting?

Sure! Ill have you fight Kj1225, who seems to also have volunteered. If I missed anyone who wants to fight, please bring it up!

Commissar Kyle Johnson and his men find an UNREGISTERED PSYKERHERITIC ALCHEMIST walking alone down some random road in the woods. Despite Ciel explaining how there isn't an alchemy registry, how he is kind of just a teenager, and how soldiers don't have police authority, they immediately begin fighting! The woods has plenty of cover, and is made of evergreen trees.

I'm making a kind of gunner/support guy. I'm looking for a more direct attacker to party up with if possible.

"To cover men! Lay down suppressing fire!"
Kyle gets in cover and leans out to fire potshots at the Alchemist.

That is good, but do you want lightning to be an Anti-Mech or an Anti-Infantry attack? I could see an argument going either way. If you are going gunner I would suggest making it anti-mech, unless you end up getting some anti-mech caster bullets or heavy AM weapons.

Why not both? It's a lightning bolt. It's gonna do what lightning does.

It is a balancing effect. Of course, a 105mm gun is going to kill infantry just as well as it kills mechs, but it isn't ideal for the job. Anti-mech weapons get a large penalty to speed and accuracy against infantry, while anti-infantry weapons get a large damage penalty and the armor is doubled for the attack. This prevents you from just making one 100+ point weapon that can kill anything, as well as adding some fun tactically things.

Deegan attempts to gain more distance, slightly irritated at a functioning humonculus, and prepares his next move.  C2H4O2 or CH3CO2H Acetic acid, flammable, easy to pull from the atmosphere, liquid, and at a PH of 4. He attempts to build it up on the Alchemech's armor.

Attacking a giant tank with vinegar? I must applaud your bravery. And knowledge of Alchemy, alchemist had been using it since long ago to make interesting colors out of paint. Though I suppose they never weaponized it, it is mildly corrosive to metal  :P

Maaaaybe make the alchemists less of a support focused and make it possible for an either/or combat/support?

As it is, they do appear extremely underpowered.

I could try it, but would need ideas. We still haven't even tested them out really. I guess I could switch out one of the skills or add another combat-focused one, but am having trouble thinking of any kind of skill that would be useful to them.

**

Now that I think about it a little more, I guess I could add stats for Caster weaponry, which might help out a bit?

A Range skill would be good. More points in that, further they can spread effects.

Also maybe an Area skill for AoE rather then targeted.

A boost to starting points and points gained during leveling prolly would offset the fragility also.

Currently alchemists can only be deadly at super short range and towards specific targets. Due to their lack of armorment and weaponry, they're technically worse then a standard grunt soldier since those guys get range and armor and an increase in deadliness from guns.

Transmute air above them into giant block of metal. That's a thing I can do, right?
