"It is about me," Joyeuse says, cocking its head to one side.

"Yes."

"The article suggests we are too uncontrolled," Joyeuse says. "That we are therefore dangerous." It slumps a little.

"Don't worry about that, Joyeuse. That's one of the things that makes you special."

Joyeuse shakes its head. "No. I must be more careful." (+Grace)

Joyeuse goes to the corner and huddles into a ball. No amount of your cajoling seems to be able to get it out of its funk. It will be more careful from now on, but some of its joyful spirit has been dampened. (---Autonomy)

You briefly check the Internet for more posts about the article. You find that the story has been picked up within the first hour by a multitude of bloggers, all striving to be first to comment on the article. You'd guess there are at least 250 different bloggers who have already written a secondhand piece about you and Joyeuse, and they run the gamut from people hoping that your technology will save humanity to people who bitterly condemn you for creating technology that can be used for war. Oddly, not one of these bloggers has tried to get in touch with you.

But you soon start to get phone calls from more reporters.

1) Supply interviews to as many reporters as possible.
2) Be selective, only answering questions from highly reputable organizations.
3) Politely decline further interviews.

You can be damn sure we're fucking that guy up, that's for sure.

You find that, on the whole, they are rather less biased than Mark, and they limit themselves more to the facts. Nevertheless, when your interviews show up quickly on their websites, you realize that they don't have much time to fact-check while playing catchup on a news story, and some of the things you said are garbled in the retelling. She looks like she's at work—she's dressed in a snappy, black jacket with a red blouse, and in the background you can see blueprints and sketches of robots drawn in spare, efficient lines. You didn't realize she worked for a robot company. "Are you all right? That article seemed kind of unfair."
