Well what else do you expect?

It's still damn impressive, and it costs five bucks. It's not exactly a DM-bot, much as the name might lead one to think otherwise. :P

Well, I've seen some impressive ones. In fact I think this one in particular has a lot of potential.

In fact it is the good parts of this game that makes the negatives stand out so starkly.

Slowly building up our robots ego and that in turn changing its entire outlook in life? Woo!
Pumping Corn into his gas engine making the robot more sympathetic to human life via magic? uhhhh...

I actually like this a lot. I don't vote a lot because I don't have a good idea of what I want our scientist to be.

"I've spoken to the Canadian government," she says. "They're willing to offer you asylum. They're no friends of China either. Not anymore."

Elly's offer is tempting. You think the odds are stacked against you in this war.

1) I will flee to Canada with Elly.
2) For Elly's sake, I will not attack this target. But I won't leave with her, either.
3) I will simply capture Elly and have her brought back to my base.
4) I turn my back and order Elly killed.

(What did you people do to break the game? It has officially stopped making sense.)

"I recall," says Anubis. "Your reign of terror sent me many souls, both robot and human."

The black glass behind the god shimmers and reveals a snowy battlefield littered with flaming debris and stained with blood. You see yourself standing alone on the battlefield. Your right arm has been replaced with a kind of cannon.

An American jet fighter flies overhead, and you fire a rocket-propelled grenade from your prosthetic weapon. The grenade homes in on the jet, using its own rudimentary intelligence, and the vehicle erupts in a fireball.

"The pilot of that jet was quite an interesting soul," Anubis says.

"You mistake me for someone who cares," you say. "I traded my humanity for power." (++++Military)

I'm just reposting this as the game "predicted" our future, which amuses me greatly. Transpose the American Jet with Chinese Jets, and we've got a picture perfect of view of what we're doing right now.

Now Elly is giving us our last call for alcohol. We can either go forward with our conquest of Alaska without her or we can live out the rest of our days in Canada with her. That's her ultimatum. Granted, we don't know why the Alaskans hate us so much. We were relatively ok people, until we started to murder people like Mark, who was arguably scummy as hell. But they wouldn't know that, so can we blame them?

Either way, I like 1. It's taking a different route, before we become *that guy*.

I just remembered that Elly likes Pippin. It's not something we learned this play-through but, I thought I'd mention it.

"All right," you say. "Let's go."

"Wait, really?" Elly says, her face lighting up.

"Well, first we're going to have to get you out of those chains," you say, and the drone picks up on your intent, snipping with its bolt cutters. "And then we're going to have to at least plausibly consider places that aren't Canada, because you just announced where we're fleeing to from the top of a tall skyscraper, and you wouldn't believe how well sound carries from such places."

"But you'll give up everything you have here?"

"Sure," you say. "'What profit is it to a man if he gains the world and loses his own soul?' I read that somewhere, can't remember where. It's a good quote."

Chapter 7: The Ways to Say Goodbye

Fifteen years later, you find yourself in Surprise, Arizona, walking up to your mother's house. A few of the cacti in front have Santa hats on them.

It is the year 2049, and you are about to surprise your mother with a present for the holidays. She has finally been released from the hospital after surgery — performed by robots of your design, you're proud to note — and is living on her own in her retirement community.

The papers necessary to sneak back into America were expensive, but you knew you had a responsibility to eventually come back. You haven't ever been to a place this hot and arid before; Mom moved here during your revolution. Arizona is very different from the Bay Area, New England, and Alaska, and a reminder that America was never just one thing.

The houses in Surprise are shabby, and trash litters the streets. The United States is still recovering from the loss of the Sino-American War twenty years ago. This retirement community is full of people like your mother who lost their jobs in the war, or a little before, and never got them back.

What did you get Mom?

1) A robot cat.
2) A robot dog.
3) A new 3D mail printer, so she can send and receive objects over the Internet.
4) The keys to a new flying car. (Requires Wealth: 2)
