The big question is do I try to solve this encounter like last time, or shoot fire at them.

I think these guard dogs are probably better fed...also, there is a pack of them, assuming they have some sort of canine hierarchy you would have to end up wrestling one the leader while the other ones bite your ears off.

If this doesn't work, I'll just cover Rex's eyes while I roast these ones.

You left Rex back in the last chamber, he wouldn't come down the ledges.

Even better! I don't have to cover his eyes.

GODDAMN 20S RESOLVING COMBAT INSTANTLY

Edit: So what I did was that I only ran Arwen and Adrik's turns, since they resolved the combat. Then, I assumed that everyone stopped to take a breath, until Initiative Count 4, when the Kobolds moved in. Then, it returned to Iniative Count 20, and Arwen, with 19, was up next again.
Was that assumption fair, or would you like to make an action before the kobolds appeared?

It seems unlikely we would have much to do in that short time, so I'm fine with it.

Then use it to hit K4 and K5, if I can.

I've already written the update, making a solid assumption about what Culise is going to do, but I'm not going to post it until after Christmas.
Happy Holidays everyone!
