I could craft you a warhammer for like 15!

Also, that's brutally unfair. Since I'm paying. And I'm the only character who actually has a goldsink-being upgrades for my spellbook, which are expensive as hell.

It's a special battleaxe. It's masterwork, specifically.

Masterwork, okay, the price is fair then!

Though I may object to the sorcerer buying a masterwork melee weapon on my dime...when is he ever going to use it? With his lack of armor and general squishiness?

Arwen or Mirella would benefit much more.

Unless he intends to take cross-class in fighter or something...

And for the record, taking a cross class in fighter with a spellcaster is great, btw. :P

There's no spellcasting failure in heavy armor anymore, and no complex need to juggle weapons in your free hand to use spell components. We're all Wizards now!

For not being a proper tanky type, Adrik already has default AC of 13.  And then with DEX boosts...

Sorry.  Just a little joke on my part.  Adrik has 10 DEX, which means that his DEX modifier is +0 right now.  Heavy armor, of which plate is the best type, doesn't get any bonuses from DEX modifiers anyways, hence why it's best for someone with no DEX modifier (like Adrik or Mirella).
