All you did wrong was commit the cardinal sin of not leaving me in a place in the game where I could commit pages and pages of roleplaying fluff. :P

I was using a Strength Check. 15 would have brought it down, and every failure above 10 would have brought the DC down a little. 11 would have brought the success DC to 14, 12 to 13, etc. Of course, a failure above 5 would have alerted the kobolds.

However, by RAW according to the DMG, wood's got a 15 AC, and probably would have had about 13 HP.
Next 5e game I play, I'm going to have to try and sunder some stuff.

Yeah, if I had been using an axe, would it have had any different effect?

I usually make a habit of collecting weapon types, but I seem to have neglected this with Johanna...

Yeah, I probably would have made the DC abit lower. Swords would probably be harder, since the force is delivered over a larger area.

FelixSparks, do you want to join Dwarmin on Johanna's jailbreak?

Arwen weighs his options. Sneak up on her and talk to her, or investigate the other tents and perhaps heal? He absently brushed a finger along the wound, glad that he'd settled his business. But most importantly... Who were they looking for? He motioned for Rex to follow him, and for the monks to remain in hiding. "If I get dragged away, I want someone to be able to tell the others where we went."

With that, he went into the tent, grinning. "Heard you were looking for someone?"
The monks stayed behind at the gully, with the villagers. Leosin was too wounded to continue. In addition, since she was getting all mad around where Leosin was held captive, context suggests that the woman is looking for Leosin. However, it is right by the cave entrance, so they could be looking for Arwen.
Would you like to change your action?

Hmmm... Didn't realize it was just me and Rex. So no, I'm gonna tempt fate here for maximum lulz. Besides, worst case I have one more healing tincture.
