I probably got the name wrong.  Basically, to test a homebrew crit chart, take 20 level 1 fighters, give them all swords, and set them to swing at a practice dummy for an hour.  If any are dead or missing limbs when you get back, you might want to rethink things. 

EDIT: That's one practice dummy each, not one in total.  Sorry 'bout that.
