What's the best news?
I'm afraid Tyranny of Dragons is going back on hiatus, for the foreseeable future.
Wait, what? Why?
I completely underestimated all of the real life stuff I've got going on. I just don't feel like I can provide the quality of updates that I expect from myself. Between school, student government, and some shit I've got going on in my personal life, I don't have the energy or time I need to DM.
When is it coming back?
That's the part that's killing me: I don't know. I want to give you a definite date so badly, but I have no idea. I can't tell you it'll be over in a few weeks, once I get into the swing of things. I can't tell you I'll be back at the start of 2017. I can't tell you be back in summer, or when next school year starts.
The only thing I can tell you is that I have every intention of coming back to this. I've loved every single minute of this, and your passion for this game inspires me to be the best DM I can. Giving up on this would kill me, but as it stands, I can't do everything I want and need to do.
I'm sorry for leading everyone on, especially Twinwolf and Snow Dwarf, into thinking that ToD was going to come back. I needed to stop lying to myself, and face the music. I've no expectation that, when it comes back, you'll be willing to play, but all I ask is that don't make that decision now.
Thank you for everything. You're all the reason I do this. I'm happy to say this has been the game I've enjoyed the most, out of every campaign I've played in.
I kinda wish I wasn't in public so I could go have a good cry. :<
