"My vote goes to the insectile janitormechanic."

"Or a drone! Can you talk through a drone? I'm sure the signal delay won't do much other than make it seem thick in a mental kinda way."

"My vote goes to the insectile janitormechanic."
I wonder who that could be? It can't be me since I'm not a janitor.

((Still a janitor in AI's mind~ I mean, it's literally someone who cleans up mechanical waste and builds stuff.))

"Whoever It'll be has to have an escort, just in case. Also having an AI tug along won't be a bad thing would it?"
((Fine then, although physically all systems are linked. I actually have hacked a computer through exposed electrical wiring once. Very hard. IRL. also wireless stuff. like internet(I know we dont have any)))

Well as you can probably see, I don't have the best social skills so I probably shouldn't be the diplomat, after all look at how many crew-mates I've antagonized so far.

As for what you said Michael, I don't know how useful it would be to have an AI to tag along, after all most of them are jerks
*stares at a camera and flutters his wings*And I don't think it would be good for diplomatic relations

I have to agree with TIM, it is a well known fact that food prefers to talk to other food rather than cold talking metal. Even if you disagree with this whatsyourname, they definitely would prefer to talk to something with a face. You're just some metal box located on a ship.

Of course I still do not volunteer since most food has a crippling fear of insectoids and they would probably scream if they ever saw me.

((well, I knew it. I actually have done it before. And you still shot me down in flames. Either way, It is SCI-FI. I know it's hard sci-fi but it is still sci-fi and this is in the future. Meaning stuff in the future might overturn current laws of physics. They have accellerated a subatomic particle past the speed of light IRL. That still has mass and according to Einstein nothing can go past the speed of light or it's mass becomes infinite. So that's an example. If they can accellerate a subatomic particle now they may achieve atomic particles in 50 years, all the way up until we can achieve FTL vehicles. < / rant>

Got off topic there but the point stands, I have hacked a computer through exposed wiring once IRL.))

"Would you like me to build a drone with a face? From what I understand, many organics have a deepseated fear of the Jugglers. Perhaps I should manufacture a body based on that race."

((Jugglers are basically a race of warlike giant spiders with a culture based in things similar to a circus. So you end up with clownspiders shooting lasers at you.))

((Factually you have not hacked a computer. Why not be honest. You're talking to someone who actually knows how that kind of thing works. Unless you're talking about hacking a computer with a hatchet, in which case yes. You did hack through wiring. With an axehead.

((To put it simply. That's not how computers work. Electrical Wiring transmits effectively no data. You need to interface a seperate computer via one of the available ports. You don't fuck with wiring to hack. You access Command Line via the OS and bypass through the available built in methods. You have literally no idea how hacking works. Please don't make me start citing links about this. It would be a needless waste of time and nobody will think worse if you for admitting you don't know what you're talking about.))

((Ninja'd))
((Just to be clear, no one has ever accelerated anything with mass to light speed IRL. Just very near it. You'd need something weird to actually get it that fast, because it's physically impossible to do it no matter how much energy you push it with. Something we don't know about in current physics might be a good justification for having FTL in the setting, but NOT for hacking a computer in a non-standard way.

Also, why is he even hacking the computer? He's part of the crew. He has clearance to interface with machinery in a non-hacking way.))
