One of the chairs is currently filled by a mannequin. It seems one of the crew members is missing at the moment.

I will call Navy
MIKE may not need to rest, but Michael, the operator of the suit, does. And thank's to NearReallean technology linking MIKE to Michael, whenever Michael's asleep, all MIKE can do, is think. and keep standing upright, as Michael sleeps inside.
The sensors linking them meant MIKE could see Michael's dreams, and at the moment, MIKE was doing everything he could to ignore the current one.
10 minutes later and MIKE can't stand it any more. He forces a wake-up and the dreams stop.
"Dreams again, Lieutenant?" MIKE asked Michael, through his thoughts.
"Same as always, Hyper-Giant. Are you sure that-"
"For the seven thousandth time Michael, I wish I could, but I didn't write me. Even if I found a way, pairing laws & regulations state that-"
"I know, what about some of that... stuff that cancels dreams?
"You used the last of it night before last. If only NearRealleans could remember things as well as... even a Sattelite-grade could." *undertone* "a faulty one at that"

After a ten minute debate that Michael lost, Michael takes manual control of the suit. He walks out of the room and into the video gaming room (one of Ebony's posters outlining the evils of caffeine plastered on the door), rips down said poster and boots up his favorite video game (Space-Ace 7: Spacial Command: 26th VTOL regiment) and logs into his account (Acewing27). MIKE comments on the outdatedness of the game, causing momentary loss of concentration, when an enemy ASRU guns through him, the other team members of the game start saying stuff on voice chat.
Ace, you OK?
Wait, Ace got cleared by an ASRU?
Damn it. Nobody get's one up on Ace, I CALL HAX

((There is no internet in space! What with the immense distance for signals to cross causing delays. And... somehow I hadn't caught that his name was Michael. You should probably make it a bit less Earthy, unless you want to insist that that's a translation.))

((Technically, since you can travel at FTL with a ship, why not information?

Also, this is where he can get one. I got species' homeworld and her name from that.

By the way, I kinda edited earlier post, by changing "massive" to "large", because what Hugo said.))

It's so large... Yet, its gravitional pull doesn't match. Some galaxies are held in one place by supermassive black holes in their center, like star holds its planets.

((Like stuff around Sagittarius A! Or Milky Way itself.))

"Okay, okay, I misworded. Silly me. I compared them to stars, which are not always bound."

((Rogue celestial bodies, trolling me since 2015. Also, I've just looked up and... "Rouge Galaxy" is a videogame. What.))

((Correcting a falsehood actually. Google it, every single Galaxy has a supermassive blackhole. AI doesn't like the idea of potentially essential crew not understanding basic stellar phenomenon when it could be extremely relevant due to the darkstar.))

((Human Alien mistake. I got confused it with rogue stars and planets, which are stars and planets that have gotten out of their galaxy and star system, respectively. Galaxy would have to get out of Universe... which is rather impossible. :P

If I understand correctly, galaxies are basically star systems on massive scale, where each star is an individual planet held in an orbit. Although if Dark Star matched up, it wouldn't be supermassive. It would be beyond that. Sagitarrius, the one we have in Milky Way, is somewhere between 0.07 and 0.09AU in radius, according to its mass, or at least 44089 times smaller than Dark Star.

In case of Sun, it takes something over 200 million years to complete the whole orbit. It's defined as a galactic year, or GY for short.))

"Computer, would you be so willing as to remind what Dark Star has pulled into its orbit?"

((I assume it has some information on that... According to Hugo, it's mostly rocks and ice.

PS. Is it just me, or is forum lagging right now?))

((Technically, since you can travel at FTL with a ship, why not information?))
((We've been over this. The method of FTL requires the drive, and thus transports objects with mass, rather than purely EM signals. On interstellar distances, this makes "snail mail" a faster way of sending information.))
((IG27, it was the name Michael I was talking about. A less Earthy-sounding replacement would be best))
((Also, are we good with Makai being second in command?))

((I googled it. You're wrong.

According to everywhere I found, it says what can be summed up as "most spirally structured galaxies are probably orbiting around a central super massive  black hole". Elliptical galaxies are considered extremely unlikely to have a central black hole, and dwarf orbitals probbably don't, either.

Let's not forget that even whether Sagitarius A is a black hole is still not entirely certain. It sure acts like one theoretically should, but it's hard to tell because of the shroud of the galactic core.))
