Check the labs out. Make note of our chemical stocks make sure we have the nutralizers or nullifiers for all chemicals currently in stock . Make sure we brought the chemicals ketrolac , flufenamic acid , feprandinol , diclofenac , erythropoietin ,  pseudoephedrine , and concentrated adrenaline  along.

Also pester the captian into throwing all caffeinated items out the airlock and replacing them with prolintane based brevarages snacks ect.
Prolintane is A stimulant quite like caffeine but with a higher safe maximum dose , no addictive properties , a great flavor , less harmful effects ,and is easily aquirable ( I know how to make it in real life and i am not a chemist.).

((Bear in mind that what chemicals have which physiological effects likely differ between alien species, probably considerably))

Recheck all maps and ship's ETA. Just for the safety!

((Well, it probably won't work on my species.

Also, there's that post you might have missed (since it's the last one at the page), where Wikipedia helped to estimate that Dark Star has mass of about 2*10^11 Suns, or about five of IRL record holder. Yeah.))

ok then I shall do some more research.  I should still be able to promote prolintane as a caffeine replacement , right?

( a level 3 reaserch scan 'from my own ranking system ' seems to show It works on prety much any mammal but there has't bean that much research on it's effects on animals but it should work ok for a cow and my characters biology is cow like so it should work for me at least. ) (also when I reply to a reply is proper to edit or make a new) (now I know it is really hard to find out how chemicals would effect aliens without making something up. Which is something I am neither good at or like doing when it is hugely unrealistic it is on thing t make stuff up when you throw reality out the airlock and another in a story like this.)

""Flight Officer Sound-Glorious-And-Bring-New-Life-Unto-Creation reporting, the Display-Boldly-The-Flags-Of-Friendship-To-New-Horizons has most truly been secured in readiness for transit through the Barrier.

Triple-check that the Display-Boldly-The-Flags-Of-Friendship-To-New-Horizons (The shuttle) is operational, run engine checks, check yet again that it's securing webbing is fastened properly, and fit protective wadding around the controls to prevent damage when the Aelius passes through the Dark Star.

((For purposes of biochemistry, Bringer's biology is definitely carbon-water-hydrogen-oxygen based, but other than that is completely differently (And purposely vaguely) structured to how an Earth-like biology would work. His species is, after all, adapted for life in the stratosphere.))

((Again, doing some calculations, and assuming it's a perfect sphere [which likely it's not, similar to other celestial bodies like Earth or Sun], it'd be 8.757086*10^35 cubic kilometers. With the mass of Sun and this thing, it's 4*10^41 kg of mass.

Density of 450612.757309 kg per cubic kilometer or 0.4g per cubic meter. Whether that's dense or not, I am not sure. How massive is the Dark Star if not that?

Also, I like gold. It's a nice color.))

Shamus decided to exit his room and look around. Seeing that he is still in space and the artificial gravity is on he assumes that he is not needed and he goes back to bed

((The lack of density of the Dark Star is noted in how it doesn't pull the rest of the galaxy into orbit around it. Due to not having anything orbiting it aside from some very small, very spread-out chunks of rock and ice, it's very difficult to measure its actual mass.))

"We appear to be ready, Ra` Indigo."
Ra`Sara then begins checking and then double checking the life support system having nothing else to add to the conversation.
