kevak, im not hijacking your lore, im just using lore that i'm familiar with. it's I grade by nearreallean definition, which is about 10 times smarter than einstein and hawking combined. 6 out of 10 of that mind is specialised for military means. the other 1, 1, .5 and 1.5 parts nare for memory, spare, games and information storage respectively

renaming AIs to Roman numerals.
I is smartest, X is 'dumb'est

FTR NearReal is renowned for it's computer prowess and i'm basing their AI on RvB.

MIKE is also a hacker

You used identical terminology.

2.98 times smarter then a human isn't very smart of an AI compared to an S1.

Also hacking doesn't really work when you're dealing with an alien operating system.

Behavior is not based in intellect. It's based in upbringing. What do you think would happen if you gave a toddler who has had no interaction with anyone a big shiny button that let's them launch nuclear missiles? They'll go "ooh! Bright lights!" And press the button repeatedly.
Or not :P
Behavior is in part from exposure to the environment, and personal interaction (thought, as the origin).

Also we're unsure on what defines a 'hacker' in this setting. In the modern definition, its generally someone who goes into the intricate mechanics of how input/output works.

For the purposes of being less confusing, you should probably rename. Two different classifications for the same thing with the same naming convention will 100% cause headaches.

Haking is still possible if the hacker in question has studied said alien computer systems, but upon encountering a new one they'd still have to learn to hack it.

Why are people arguing about a psychology related matter like there's a single possible conclusion?

Hmm? I think the argument is more towards openness than narrowing it down :P A lighthearted note just poked that, when stating something is {x} as times better than {y}, it usually pertains to the observed processing power of that entity rather than its holistic capability.

...And its more like discussing it, rather than arguing it. xD

I guess I just got confused at how the whole range of galactic species and their intellect is dismissed as being ten times less intelligent than glorified baby sitters, and a thousand times less intelligent than a "savant"-style highly limited AI

I assume Kevak is using humans as a metric here, since though they are absent here, as human writers they make a very handy point of comparison for us. All these species would have a wide range of intelligence, and be intelligent in different ways.

In that case, substitute the word "humanity" for the various races.

The point still stands - all the genius, the stupidity, and the creativity of humanity is somehow ten times inferior to an intelligence which exists soley to remind the "human-like" intelligences not to blow moons out of orbit or carve genitalia into mountainsides. Which left unattended, they will abandon their work, research, and everything else to be Space Hooligans.

To be fair. If you were given a planet to do whatever with. You would eventually run out of ideas and do the same.

And no need to go through and substitute. It makes sense as it is.

Honestly I'm surprised humans haven't done that yet.

Though in those times it would probably have more mythical significance than "Hehe, dicks."
