(More important notes!)
(Again, despite translation conventions, Earth references still seem a bit out of place. Idioms and common metaphors and whatnot are fine, just things like "a hole the size of a grapefruit" are a bit off. Though I guess you could make the argument that it translates as that because the bugs have something very similar to a grapefruit on their planet so its not worth up making another word for it. But, still, keep in mind.)
(It's different enough)
(It should also be noted that, at this point, they've all been on the ship for several months now, as it needed that time to build up speed for the FTL jump they've just come out of, but there are a number of good ways to explain the current situation. Just can't go into detail right now, because class is imminent.)
((There seem to be a lot of things that are assumed we know or we can work out amongst themselves. Put on thy armored gauntlet, GM, and show us the grand plot railroad, or we shall flounder like idiots forever!
Seriously, put us somewhere interesting soon.))
(I was planning on just having a round of preliminary actions before doing the entrance proper, but this psych stuff has started a scene, so we must see that to its conclusion. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. It gives us some time to get to know the characters.)
(A NOTE ON TIMESCALES: Since, by its very nature, space travel can have a lot of time and distance pass without any significant events, it would be very boring to play the entire game on the day-to-day, minute-to-minute, word-by-word pace. So, from your character's perspective, when such intervals come up it may be better to write as if it were their journal. Mini-scenes of day-to-day stuff can be a good way to fill the interlude as well but if you do one try to keep it short. Unless it escalates or something.)
Wait, so what do you actually do on this ship? Oh and it might take awhile for the nano-machines to get used to you, but it depends on the individual. [/color]"
Well as already seen in my documents I am an engineer/mechanic. I am authorized to repair broken things whenever the AI isn't already doing that as well as designing blueprints for any new robots that may need to be invented for certain situations. I believe I am also available to help the archeologist if he needs help restoring an ancient robot. I can also be of use if you need a bridge in a hurry. Of course since all we've been doing so far is traveling in empty space I haven't been needed at the moment. Once things start to go wrong then I will be useful. Although I will be useful right now and point out a design flaw in this ship. There is not a single room with zero gravity in this ship. This is a problem since we won't be able to conduct any zero gravity experiments on the things we find.
((Incorrect. Only the ring sections have artificial gravity. The central cylinder that comprises most of the ship's volume isn't rotating (sufficiently) to produce artificial gravity.))
