Weidergangers sound like rather unpleasant undead.

What happens if they get carried out of the graveyard?

I think you died before you could. I don't ever remember being told what happens if you managed. They weren't pleasant things.

The Panther is quite a cool one. No, not the real kind of panther. This had a horned head on a long neck and a horse's body. It'd sleep for three days after eating, and after, emit such a sweet scent only dragons could resist being draw to the source of the smell. When someone entered the cave, drawn by the scent, it'd devour them, and then sleep for three days...

Or the particularly strange type of tiny dragon called the Leontopone (I think?) that was deadly poisonous to lions. Lions wouldn't attack them, because not only was their flesh poisonous, the Leontopone would pee on the lions and kill them with their poisonous pee. Yeah. That was a strange myth.

Goblins, gnomes, and all sorts of fey could range from the helpful to the mischevious to the deadly. There was one water spirit that would pretend to be drowning, and when peopel came to help, it would laugh at them. I can't remember the name though... I'm sure it will come back.

So the water spirit basically exists to make people feel stupid for having empathy?

No, the 20 charisma would be uncharismatic, but not extremely so. An average human would have a score of ~2/3. With 5% of the 20 Bjarke would have a score of 1, which isn't too much below. A score of 0 would be more extreme, but still possible for a human - it'd just become an issue later in the game. On the other end, a score of 5 would probably be the about top for a human without them being noted for it (ie. excluding people who devote their lives to things, like professional athletes.)

Later in the game, all but the most extremely uncharismatic of characters will have a fair amount of presence, as the power starts to shine through somewhat.

Well, if 5 is the realm of "Natural Leaders" and anything far above motivation specialists, "practical" psychologists and the like, a 1 for someone with a fair amount of loose screws sounds acceptable. As long as he is able to interact / rp / with the others somewhat normally - minus his obsession with fire of course - this fits the bill nicely. Considering how muspelheim jötunns are rather... demonic in nature, I think this should fit together nicely, as does the low dextery score for a lumbering 2.30 giant. (Actually just high enough to be displayed in the lowest record-ranks on wikipedia, and still a height achievable without gigantism / pathological conditions.)

Actually it being a fey creature, I would think it would just have a ball while doing so?
There are also those who would try to drown you for rescuing them, or drown you when you approach them on the beach (kelpies). Oh, and eat the corpse, sure enough.
So yeah, not like it is out to actually harm anyone. At least not anyone who can swim without the risk of drowning...

I remember reading about Kelpies a while ago. Heard they really liked cucumbers.

On a seperate note, sounds like Ven is going to end up rather charismatic (if she lives long enough)

The kelpie was a malignant horse water spirit - would try to get you to ride it, then dive into water and drown you. A common story is a Kelpie would appear before a group oif children. All but one of them would agree to ride the Kelpie, with one child staying on the shore. Being a young child, he (it's normally a young boy) would pat the Kelpie on the neck, to discover his fingers stick to it. By cutting off his fingers, he escapes will his friends are dragged into the water to die. Later, their entrails are found upon the shore, them being the parts the Kelpie doesn't eat.

Kelpies could also turn into men, but they kept their hooves and had water weeds in their hair. They'd prey on unsuspecting maidens. UIf you kill a Kelpie, it turns into a pile of turf and jellyfish-meat (if that is the right word).

And yeah, Kappas are the japanese water spirit that eats cucumbers.

... beat me to it ;3

But rather, the link "is" good - just jumbled in a slightly misplaced forum link

Either way, yeah, kinda was expecting it to be "that one". Well, not like I ever read any other kelpie comic, so there's that, I suppose.

Kelpies are wierd.

So... this is modern times right? The factions make it sound like it's WW2 era for some reason.
