Beginning trait: The Monstrous Mouth. Davids monster Ancestry has expressed itself in giving him an impossible ability of consumption. His mouth can open improbably wide. His teeth larger, sharper, and much much tougher then is natural. And his stomach can handle an immense variety and volume of material. In essence, he can eat damn near anything. (Or just some stuff, subject to balancing.)
Description: Mental: Any other child would have died from malnutrition or some disease in the conditions that David lived though and from his own survival in such trying circumstances David became aware that he was special, different in some ways then the others around him. In his own mind he categorized the world as him and everyone else. With him above them. This has made him have very little empathy for anyone else, and he views his own wants and needs as far more important then anyone else, giving him quite the superiority complex and a inability to care about others. The explanation of how this is (to his mind) actually true scientific fact this behavior has been cemented even further into his mind, although the following explanation that there are others like him has confused him somewhat, as he is not sure whether or not to hold them in the same esteem he holds himself. He wears a carefully crafted mask of civility and charm to hide this psychopathy though. His other notable traits include a type of laziness, not that he would shirk from doing what must be done, but he often will try to make sure that what he does is done in a way to expend the least amount of effort. And a instinctual urge for self preservation that has been with him since childhood. Underwriting his whole psyche is a current of unquenchable hunger and a desire to consume.
Physical: David is a squat Hispanic man in his mid twenties. Built like a log with short legs attached, he has a shocking amount of strength and toughness in such a frame. His face is not unhandsome, although there is some vaguely disquieting set to the proportions of it, especially his mouth. He normally keeps a carefully groomed look, his cleanly shaven face, carefully cut hair, and meticulously put together outfit, all more or less to give people a impression of competence and reason, just as he wants. His face is normally schooled into a genial smile, although if his eyes typically lack any type of warmth, comfort, or even life to them. Once he was slightly overweight (although no matter how much he eats he never seemed to be able to move past that point), now his frame is slightly emancipated after a long stay in jail.
Backstory: David was born in the meanest of slums, growing up in the poorest family. He never knew his father, he was never spoken of, and whenever David asked of him from his mother or her few acquaintances the only response we would get was punishment, sometimes laced with a hint of desperate fear. His mother was a distant person, showing traces of what might have once been beauty, but by the time David came around she was just a hollow shell of a person, spending most of her time locked up in her own mind, ignoring the outside world. What little money she made was mostly spent on drugs which only made her regress further from the world.
With his mother not even qualified to take care of herself, let alone a child, it was practically a miracle that David survived his childhood. But survive he did, mostly on cast offs and trash, and the occasional gift of pity from one of his mothers rare 'clients'. When David was twelve his mother disappeared, whether she had just abandoned him or had died anonymously in some alleyway he did not know nor ever found out. However, he was already self sufficient at this point in his life. Despite the clear lack of anything that a growing boy would need, he had sprouted quickly and strongly. He already was as strong and tough as a boy in his late teens, and he was able to find ways to support himself. Taking odd jobs here and there he moved around the city for several years. He was finally living a somewhat normal, if very mean, life.
He was completely unsatisfied. When he was a child he dreamed simply of being able to afford to buy meals, but now that he could he found his reality wanting. He was still very poor, he still went hungry, and could afford nothing of luxuries. If anything he thought of himself as worse off then when he was a child scrounging in the trash. Sometimes he felt like he starved more now than then! He felt that the world owed him more. That he deserved more. That he should be able to take more. And so he did, rules of society be damned. From shoplifting, to mugging (even a failed stint into pickpocketing, where he found that he was not dexterous enough for the job), burglary. He did what he could to take what he could. He quickly spent what he gained from these activities, food, better housing, alcohol, food, a watch, and more food. But any money he gained slipped though his fingers like water though a sieve, and he found himself not feeling any more sated then before. He still felt like a poor starving child. Maybe even worse then he felt way back then in the trash. He became more desperate and bold in his larceny, until inevitably he was caught.
Luckily for him he was caught only stealing from a store, and his lack of record and juvenile status earned him some leniency in the courts. He want sent to a detention center where he spent nearly two years, being released when he was eighteen. Although their attempts to reform him failed, he still saw himself as far more important then anyone around him and felt that he deserved anything he wanted, David learned two valuable lessons. The first was a lesson in discretion, other people did not take kindly to his greater then thou thoughts and ways, and learning to hide his disdain for others and put on a facade of reason and charm was what eventually convinced those in charge that he was reformed enough to leave. The second lesson was petty crime would lead nowhere. He knew that the lifestyle he lead before would never fill his needs. He needed something greater. And he gathered a idea of where to get it. He approached the drug dealers that he knew from so long ago when he lived with his mother, although most did not remember him. Although them the cartels that ran the drug trade though which so much money flowed.
He found his work amongst the pusher and suppliers. At first he could only get odd and low paying jobs, but his impressive strength and toughness marked him out, and he eventually found work as muscle for the gangs. He rose though the ranks largely on his physical strength, although his ability to put on a charming demeanor when it suited also sometimes came into play. Soon he found himself making far more money that he ever could working menial and pointless jobs. He spent this money freely. Buying what he willed. But he found that even this was not enough, indeed, as time passed his desires only seemed to increase, especially for food, which although he ate in great quantities he found that he was never fully sated. His distress grew with his apatite, as time went by he found that more and more of his time and energy was spent coping with some emptiness inside himself that nothing seemed to fill. He became more and more distracted, and found himself less and less able to put on the mask of care and rationality that he has so carefully cultivated. His mania only grew, until one night. He found himself beating a man, failed payment or something like that, he was just suppose to give him a bit of working over and a warning to make sure to pay up soon. When he lost himself in the violence. He did not stop when he should have, but kept going, beating the man to near death, and then, with a fire in his belly and a darkness in his soul he moved in on instinct.
A half a hour later David woke back up to reality. Covered in blood and gore, the man partially devoured. The mask of rationality was put back into place, but for the first time in his life the fires of hunger which had burned within him since he was a small child rooting around in the trash had not merely been suppressed, hidden, obfuscated, like they had been when he ate or indulged in luxuries previously. But the fires had actually diminished. They still lay, smoldering in the pit of his stomach, but the relief was immense. David disposed of the body, and reported that the man had fought back most vigorously and had been accidentally slain. Knowing the taste and satisfaction of flesh, David could never turn back, and from then on was what David though of as the start of his real life.
Taking a life on the job, or in a alleyway, or in the darker parts of the city, it was not so rare. Hardly a event to be remarked upon. And if there was a increase of such cases where the body went missing afterword, that was almost certainly just a statistical anomaly. At least, that is how he thought. And for several years David lived successfully like this, his cravings were kept in check. And yet, over time he grew somewhat more sloppy, evidences of his indulgences leaked out, although it was not the police that found him first, but rather several of his co-workers. Drugs, assault and the occasional Murder was one thing, but cannibalism was quite another. Several of them had high suspicions, although none of them were fully aware of the extent of his activities. He was confronted in his apartment by them, with all the evidence needed in his fridge the confrontation quickly turned violent, but everyone, including David himself, were shocked by his strength, toughness, and animal ferocity, which had seemingly surpassed normal human levels in the years since he had started his darkest deed. The fighting attracted the police to his residence where the only living being found was a critically wounded David, who was quickly taken into custody. With all the evidence of him being the ghoul that they were seeking around, on and in him the trial was quick. The verdict was death penalty.
He rotted in jail for a time, but with the search for those with the bloodlines of monsters already on the way, he was discovered by the right people far before his trip to the chair. With the fire in his belly steadily growing and the mask starting to crumble, along with the only other choice being death, it was a easy option for David to quite willingly join the Allies.
