Ehhhh. A game were you have to fight trough hordes of Anime-Ladies trying to get into your pants? Probably would be called "Regular Japanese Highschool-Student simulator."

Sooo, the last games I played were Skyrim and Dwarf Fortress.

Which gives us:

The Elder Dwarfs: Sky Fortress

The Elder Dwarfs: Sky Fortress is an action role-playing video game with text-based graphics. The games main story revolves around the player's character, a dwarf, who sets forth on a rather silly quest to defeat an ancient flying lizard, talk to every random stranger who he meets and loot their apartments of everything valuable. Over the course of the game, the player mostly completes tedious and repetitive quests which upon completion have no real impact on the surrounding fantasy world. The character is developed by improving skills that have been dumbed down from it's predecessors. The combat system, however, is anatomically detailed with combat logs describing organs getting pierced, fat getting bruised and limbs getting severed. The game continues the open-world tradition by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore the uninteresting main storylines and pretty much do anything that pleases them.

Heh.  Or alternatively, it's normal Skyrim but you can play a Dwemer.  The "ruins" are full of NPC Dwemer who mutter about magma and give radiant quests to kill vampires, Falmer, dragons or particularly noteworthy mudcrabs.  The ancient Dwemer defenses are fully functional and just as homicidal - [PULL_LEVER:PERSONAL_MATTER].

It also enforced ironman and few people get far enough to find out how boring the main quest really is.

Kenshi and BATTLETECH.

I get the feeling that this would be a DF level project.

You are a nobody roaming the Inner Sphere, scrabbling to accomplish anything in typical Kenshi fashion, but with hundreds of worlds (gonna need some proc gen there), more politics than you can shake a stick at, and of course, Battlemechs.  Use your wits to gather some guys, build some capital, acquire some 'mechs, and a dropship, then set to mechwarrioring your way across the stars.

I need this game in my life.

You could also get scrapped and cannibalized, I guess.

That happens in Kenshi, right? "Nobody will help you when the frogmen are eating your legs", the trailer says, right?

You can get pretty close to that with BattleTech and mods, to my understanding.

Kind of, I was thinking that you would be actively playing at the human level, not the 'mech level.  So you would just have a poor dude/dudette to start, then build up Kenshi style until you could afford some 'mechs to use, and expand from there.

It really sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, really.

Less management style and more "Oh god that shot went through the cockpit and took off my best pilot's legs!", then having to handle it like you would in Kenshi, all the way down to hoping they don't bleed out before you can manually get a medic to them.

With the only decent fencing mechanics in games of its setting?

Oh god, trying to imagine JA lightsaber fighting combined with PoE's skill tree...

Oh yes. But in 95% of the game the lightsabers are just clearly better than all the other weapons.

Castle of the Winds and Crusader Kings II.

Uh... just a more historically accurate roguelike without magic I suppose.
