Illyriad and Red Rogue. Maybe you could do something with army commanders as the equivalent of Red and assorted soldiers as the minions? Make attacking cities similar to the normal dungeon, except with a siege aspect to be able to get into the towns in the first place.

Robocraft and minecraft. So... pretty much minecraft but with massive vehicles roaming around the blocky world, decimating trees and blowing the armok out of each other.

Duuuude, those are two of my favorite games, ever! Both are top 4, at least.

I love them both too. But both of them control like ass, IMO. Cave Story is a Mega Man-style game with Mario-style jump physics. Sonic Adventure 2 heavily features vertical level design, which is to be applauded... except you can't look up or down at will to see what's above and below you. Maybe there's a first-person mode I'm missing, but that's not the same as having free control over the camera.

Batman: Arkham City and Europa Universalis IV.

That's a tough one.

A complicated strategy game where you play as various street gangs or supervillains seeking to gain territory in Gotham but have to deal with Mr. J's Green blob taking over everything and Batman and pals beating you up?

Space Station 13 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

Hm...I'm imagining the characters being various jobs such as a Sec Officer and the Clown, with the locations being the various parts of the station/surrounding area, but changed to be skate parks. Can't wait to play a Xeno skating down the main hallway to the Emergency Shuttle to the tune of Goldfinger's Superman.

... acually, I'm pretty sure that it'd jsut loop back around to an ordinary srot of RTS. but with kittens.
