A sports management game where you have gods battle it out in a strange, laned hockey-arena with murder instead of tackles.

Basically a hockeyversion of Blood Bowl, and with gods from our mythologies as combatants rather than Warhammer races.

The games: Eastside Hockey Manager and Smite.

Gunning down the gnomes with an auto-shotgun, and dying not to giant robots with machine guns but instead to falling down the stairs teleporter.

.....probably a completely do-able total conversion json mod for cataclysm.

It would be a lot of work, but it could happen. Probably more likely than proper Z-Levels, at this point. :P

Space Engineers + Helldivers.

A hectic game where you get dropped down on a planet crawling with hostile aliens/monsters along with 3 other EngineerDivers. From that point, you'd have to build spaceships/vehicles/buildings to accomplish specific objectives using resources acquired from dead enemies, mining, and various things (such as parts, support, etc) called down as stratagems.

That actually may not be the worst idea.

Fortresscraft Evolved and Undertale.

So, basically, you'd not have to make do without Surface resources. and the native life might not be so mindlessly hostile.
