Making .gifs from Dwarf Fortress!
« on: January 19, 2015, 11:23:35 pm »

I searched a bit and didn't find much on the topic of making gifs from Dwarf Fortress, mostly for use in community fortress journals. Helping others learn would improve community output quite a bit, I think!

I know the basic process through which to make a gif but I was hoping some others would be willing to share their workflow, what frame-rates they use, etc. The program I use to record my screen doesn't play well with DF, so another question would be what programs you use to record in the first place.

Or record natively within DF, then convert to gif.

Or one-step, make screenshots, and then stick it together in GIMP GAP. Like my current avatar.
