Try to breathe elemental fury on the string, make the string sour.

You pull on the flight ass hard as you can, you strain the flight taut, you breath elemental fury on the string biting and pulling on it.
"Jutan get a bag quick its going to break that! Cufoe." The other vermin jumps at a pile of their gear, grabbing at random.
The string frays and snaps, your free!
"Hold, Cufoe." You feel a jet of bad flight shoot from the vermin at you.

Dodge it! Shoot their bad back at the vermin! Flee!

Block the bad flight with the bauble.

Retaliate with fire breath! Followed by a lungeing claw swipe to the chest.

You dodge the bad flight, it pops on the ground where you stood.
You skitter away as fast as you can, leaving the camp and the firelight far behind.
The bauble still wont let go of your claw, and its still pulling the flight out of you.

Attempt to pour so much flight into it that it burst/pops/cracks/whatever makes it stop working.

Find a creature with flight, and sick the bauble on them.

You try to break the bauble with what flight you can catch but the it just makes you tired, the stone bauble holds tightly to your claw.
You feel around for flight sources the closest being back at the camp, and not much more as near.

Try some of the scarce few other sources

You crawl off towards the next closest flight source, but its dark and your tired.
You fall asleep in a bush.

Have horrible, bauble-related nightmares.
