Considering I asked for orders and was ignored for two updates, I think its justified.

Plus, where where those standing orders?

Standing orders means the last set of orders you were given and which apply to the situation at hand. Right when the group was assembled, the orders were following the commissar to deal with that box problem and that matter is still unsolved. I don't want to repeat what I explained earlier to Patrick but the gist of it is that playing your character as you want is fine as long as you are aware of and are willing to deal with the consequences that come from it. My commissar isn't BLAM-happy because that is a boring stereotype, but he still expects some measure of discipline.

"You have not been dismissed and I doubt the Chimera will go up in flames if you refrain from visiting it while we deal with this problem."

Whereapon I asked for orders, any orders, and was ignored.

Also, the last set of orders Marn was given, anywhere, was to scan/open the box. Before that it was to guard the box. And before that it was to get to the container.

Well, just try to think of the army. Do you think a soldier would just up and leave their superior officer just after being directly told they aren't dismissed? That in itself means they should stay around until they are useful. I thought you understood that since your action was basically to slip away, implying you understood Marn was supposed to stick with the group but decided to slink away because he wanted to stay with the Chimera for whatever reason.

Edit: To be clearer and in case you're unused to Only War, I don't want to kill your buzz. OW does not tend to be a game about larger than life, earth-shattering heroes who can go around and do their own stuff without nearly any restraints like DnD and a measure of respect to military decorum from the part of the characters, at least as long as they're close to authority figures and depending on the regiment, is expected. Like I said before, I'm not playing Denos as an asshole and the punishment isn't supposed to be anything serious unless that kind of thing keeps happening. The "don't split the party" rule is very important both in a meta and in-game sense as you might have just noticed after being ambushed.

The way I saw it, Marn asked for orders and stood there as everyone else wandered off with the crate. Sorry if I confused things somewhat.

Guys? Before I update, can anybody remind me what do we have on the Chimera? Can't seem to find that info anywhere.

One moment. I know where where thinking of lobbing a flamer in the storage, and we probably have extra cells/ammo, all of Marn's gear that he dosent have on him is in it... Ill get the vehicular loadout in a second.

Looks like we decided that the turret weapon was an Autocannon, the (mostly) fixed weapon was the Heavy Bolter, and the Pintle mounted gun was the Storm Bolter.

Oh, since we have the commisarial squad using it, does our chimera get the Command and Control Vehicle thingie?

Also, the fact that they have the vehicles dedicated gunner manning the gun with the least utility is silly to me... Anyone else think that the commander should use the heavy bolter while the comrade built to shoot things uses the autocannon in the weaker turret?

Heavy on the hull, storm on the pintle (mostly to differentiate, I think.)

I dunno, we hashed all this out on page 4 or 5.

I thought about this. Yes, it does, as well as an inbuilt vox.

How long will it be before the 2 men I sent to the Tamarian camp report back? And the 2 I assigned to DH are waiting to escort him right?

Quick question (Again) about the IFV, is there some form of loudspeaker setup on it that I can use?

A few more turns. It would be weird if they appeared to teleport there and back again. And yes, they are.
