It's just a mechanical thing, calm down. But sure, look forward to field executing you. Stormtroopers are expected to be blindly fanatic and loyal. If you won't learn, you have no place in the Emperor's service.

They're outsiders who were granted training as storm troopers for political reasons. To the progena they're outsiders and inferiors who lack the personal traits to be one of them and are never accepted.
Which makes it lucky that they never join a squad after training.
That's funny. Mostly false, but funny.
While you are correct that, very rarely, an Inquisitor will decide to sponser an exceptional individual to go through Stormtrooper training, and if they succeed they will almost certainly end up as an Inquisitorial Stormtrooper, the vast majority of Inquisitorial Stormtroopers are simply the best quality Stormtroopers the Schola's produce; the second rate ones go to the Guard.
Also, Commissar training is not the same as Storm Trooper training, it has an entirely different focus, and while it is less obviously dangerous I would venture to say it is more difficult, and it certainly requires much more independent thought and judgement.

Also, I call dibs on Tristan's headless body; gonna need a source of servitors if I want to take one of the Tech Priest specialisations later.

I know it's only a mechanics thing but it would still be seen as a failing so you'd have to prove yourself.
But your only a junior commissar so it's within my rights to disregard your orders.

In most cases, the "proper" Storm Trooper Progena never recognise the qualities of the outsider candidate, and prefer to remain aloof. The Inquisitorial candidate, after all, has entered the training from the sponsorship of a higher power, and many of the other Progena will doubt his own personal qualifications for such an honour.

They are trained and equipped in a manner similar to standard Imperial Guard Storm Troopers, albeit lacking the rapid insertion and infiltration skills, as they are not expected to undertake such types of missions.

The last 2 paragraphs come directly from the wiki lore on it. They lack part of the storm troopers training and are not accepted as storm troopers by the Progena. Commissar also have the same childhood training as all other Progena before they're divided. Including linguistics.
Not likely to need to ignore him though since I'm attached to Caellath not Digital.

Are you implying that regular Progena trainees think they are smarter than Inquisitor to doubt his choice? That is why we need that much commissars, I guess.

a) the 40K wiki is terrible (even Lexicanum is pretty dodgy at times, but the wiki is just atrociously bad) b) you're taking small snippets out of context; as mentioned before, yes there are sometimes candidates for Inquisitorial Stormtroopers brought in by individual Inquisitors, and the regular trainees tend to look down on them (though not their trainers), but the vast majority of the Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, including basically all of the ones that serve the Inquisition in general rather than a specific Inquisitor, are just the best graduates who are nabbed by the Inquisition, which has first pick.

In a nutshell: you may have all for your personal reasons of any degree of credibility to not respect the commissar; commissar has the right to shoot you in the face at the moment he starts to suspect that you do.

I was only referring to the non Progina outsiders not the Progina who were selected as well. But I'm assigned as Caellaths bodyguard so unless you outrank him then I'm not subject to your orders because my primary order is his protection and you can't over ride it.

Anyone who wears commissar uniform automatically outranks your hardened soldier bottom. Even if you are veteran of many campaigns and the youngling is fresh from Progena.

I said him not me. If he doesn't outrank Caellath he can't over ride my orders because my orders are to protect him. He can't change those orders without either Caellaths permission or outranking him.

The fact you are assigned to protect commissar doesn't put you higher in command chain.

I didn't say it did.

What I said was that since Caellath is senior and my orders are to protect him, if Digital, a more junior officer gives me an order that clashes with my standing orders I can ignore it because to obey it would mean disobeying an order from a more senior officer.

Technically yes. But you kinda caught between hammer and anvil here, as I see it.

Anyway, play like you feel like playing. Those command problems of yours aren't about my character.

Commissar Vivere is very big on hugs, as it happens. He believes they are excellent for building morale and trust among the troops. Those who refuse to hug and be hugged show unacceptable lack of common spirit and will be punished accordingly.
