Soap workshop bugged?
« on: January 13, 2015, 09:11:16 am »

I have no idea what the problem is, but my soap workshop refuses to acknowledge that I have all the ingredients for making soap. I have MANY barrels of tallow, 10 lye in various buckets, and still the option is red. I haven't been able to make a single bar for the entire time I've been playing my current fortress. I've tried replacing the workshop, putting the required items in a stockpile around it, and nothing seems to work. Yet as far as I can tell from the wiki, there's no bugs like this at the moment. Any ideas as to what's going wrong?

a) What version of DF are you using and
b) What is the temperature like and are your lye buckets above ground?

Looks like the same issue -- http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=147461.0

Just build stockpile for lye that doesn't accept any barrels.

Annoyingly, that seems to have fixed the problem. You can use lye in a bucket, but not lye in a bucket in a barrel. Thanks peeps
