You know, it didn't annoy me until now but firebenders get screwed on their specials. I mean water benders have healing and controling living things, Earth benders get lavabending and metal bending, air benders have Anti-fucking-gravity, and then fire benders get lightning and explosions. I mean, that's kind of boring.

They definently aren't all that useful for many different things.

Well, if you put it that way... Yeah, you have a point. I wouldn't call it boring, though, those abilities just have more specific appliances in which they are proficient, while others have more general purposes.

Lighting bending can be very useful if it's raining :p

Yes... Making lightning from your skin....

Well, they also seem dreadfully inefficient. But that may just be the fact that most fire benders I've seen were mooks.

Lava, anti-gravity, and non-full-moon bloodbending are practically unique, so don't worry about everyone learning them.

I had some metal-bodied planes in mind for this game. They wouldn't have the capacity or travel range of an airship, but they would be much faster. Similar to how the UR and FN have battleships using "fire funnels" as artillery guns, a "bomber" might either have bombs or a downward-facing funnel, which a team of onboard benders throws their bending into.

I guess lightningbending could be used to power things, but that'd be taking a technological step back.

Have you seen TLA? Remember Azula? Firelord Ozai? Avatar Roku?

I guess lightningbending could be used to power things, but that'd be taking a technological step back.

Legend of Korra featured power stations functioning from hired firebenders who bended lightning to generate electricity.

Three versus mooks one through fifty. Although, fire bending I imagine is like napalm in that your dead when it lands a good hit on you.

Okay, so would about half the size be more reasonable? I can just scrap the torpedos if you would like me to.

It seems like that fire produced by firebenders may vary from napalm-like sticky fire to something like gas-fed bursts of fire. Seldom seen the firebender who bends fire good enough to form jet-like fire.

Not if you're standing in a puddle.
But they control the lightning
Just keep it from going to you and let it flow everywhere else

Can I give my character a little bit of training in lighting use, not like mastery of it just something that he could use with a lot of focus?

Sorry for double post but would like to know still
