Turo grew up in Republic City. His parents weren't the richest, but could afford somewhat decent schooling for him. He discovered that he was a bender rather late - when he was 9. However, it became clear that he is rather talented bender - his first bending exprerience was metalbending the chair his classmate tried to hit him with. At age of fourteen, due to his poor results in school, he was kicked out. His parents suggested him to start training his bending to serve in Police, and so he did. And he has shown some talent in that. He was noticed by his teacher, former convict. He taught him some moves to use against police equipment and gave him some extra lessons in art of weilding sword and dagger.
When time came, and Turo had to decide whether he will serve in police or not, Turo refused to serve - he disliked the boundaries of law, he wanted to act freely according to his will. Fortunately, he made a great mercenary with skills like that - while training he developed rather unique combat style which uses sword moves extended with metalbending. He decided to hit the road and see the world, thus departed from Republic City and headed east.
Aged 22, average built, 6'2'' tall with a long scar along jawbone on his face left from his rough training days. Brings metal projectiles in a bandolier across his chest, a sword by his side and a dagger hidden somewhere in his clothes.
Dressed in a simple white shirt, brown checkered vest and trousers, wears leather boots with metal soles. A warm cloak/bedsheet is rolled and tied to his backpack.
Generally he is driven by wanderlust towards new discoveries.
Positive traits:

Negative traits:
undereducated - writes with a lot of mistakes, but reads fine (-3 to writing)Combat style: Turo tries to fight on medium and short distances - he uses his bending on medium distances and his swordsmanship in close-quaters. His style is rather baroque - he only holds sword in hands nearly half of battle time, his sword almost looks like it is acting independent sometimes. Combination of martial attacks and sword swings and lunges all coming from different directions proved to be effective combination in some of Turo's minor conflicts with local UR bands on his way out of Republic City.
If enemy is beyond his reach, he tries to use accelerated metal projectiles to neutralize him, targeting to limbs in order to incapacitate. He also uses those in case he has do slow down the pursuit after him.
