Zen ask the bartender, by name, if he can get another tea/alcohol mixture, on his tab, and when he thinks the next job might come around.
(I would personaly prefere it if they new Misaka, The name I thought up for Zens ex-lover, as, tough extremely rowdy  and one to cause as much trouble as the other drunkards, the one who would have been the first to beat up and kick out anyone who would mess with her 'supply of booze', defending the bartenders if ever they asked.)

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

((The Bartender is relatively new, though. Pancaek's character might have known her, though.))
The bartender shrugs and passes him some more hard tea.

((Note: to get on the first mission you'll need to be hired by Mar (Elfeater), which will be handled through RP. For those who don't get on the mission, I'll provide sidequests for the meantime.))

Lei remembering that he is a bit low on money, stops training and grabs his things then heads back inside looking for Mar (the barkeep?) for some work.
If/when he aproaches him he asks
"I heard you're the person I should look for for work out here"
(Assuming my character would know)

((Nope. Mar is Elfeater's character, who is another mercenary (though he happens to own an airship). He has been contracted by a mysterious figure to assemble a team of 6 or so and go steal something from a ship on international waters. I recommend reading others' posts to keep track of things, though at the moment it's a bit hard to keep up with I'll admit.))

((Ok, I was just reading stuff my character would have heard while outside and ignore other bits. Helps keep in character, most of the time.... I'll start reading everything else. So how soul I get a job? Just announce that I'm looking for work?))

((Well, since your character has poor social skills, I'd imagine he'd just go around asking people))

((Right now Mar is setting up a game of Pai Sho at one of the tables, He is pretty much trying to get a feel for if anyone in the bar would be a good hire.))

Shojo heads over to join in the game of Pai Sho.

((Hopefully he knows the rules...))

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Lei, not knowing who to talk to heads over to watch a game or two of Pai sho. Maybe someone will ask for people to hire while he's watching.

Mar glances at the man who approached. "Hello sir, up for a friendly wager? Loser buys drinks?"

Lei goes to the game that just started, always better to watch a game from the beginning (OW and elfeater's game))

Spoiler: Pai Sho board (click to show/hide)
((Note: no IRL one knows the rules to this game, there are a myriad of fan interpretations. As well as presumably several disparate variants in the world itself. All we know for sure is it's played on a board that looks like that, with several kinds of tiles. Presumably it runs similar to Chinese Checkers?))
