Lei recovers from the blow, shakes it off and looks at (Comrade P. (can't remember name))

Lei leaves and waits outside doing eskrima drills

Outside is the rest of what can only be described as a 1-ostrich-horse town, the only other building being the tiny post office. Next to the 3-story tavern is a dirt lot where a few Satomobiles are parked, and a few duels between benders (and some other people who were asked to take their quarrels outside) are going on. Surrounding the area is a dense forest into which a couple, very worn roads lead.

The man doesn't look up. "So, you have made our meeting," he says in a quite tone. "Let us take this upstairs."

They stare around.

Mar nods and stands, "Of course, after you. He follows the man to the room.

They go upstairs and find an open room, taking a seat on a small table near the crappy bed. "Alright... let's talk business. In four days, there will be a ship at sea near the coordinates I have on a piece of paper here. There is something very precious on this boat, something that, if you want your money, you must retrieve. You will need help to do this, but I leave it up to you to choose a capable team for the task."

Mar frowns, "Can we speak specifics? What am I getting? Who am I going up against?

"So, Anybody wanna toast to how cowardly Fire-Benders are?"

Chong says this loud enough that the entire bar can hear him.

Lei puts down his escrima sticks and begins practicing some bending

Mar frowns, "Can we speak specifics? What am I getting? Who am I going up against?

"The ship's safe-box. The whole thing. You'll be intercepting it on international waters, but should the ship put up a distress call, there will likely be Fire Nation or Earth Empire ships close enough to respond within an hour or so. I don't have any details on who might be on board, but the ship is called the Pazou."

"So, Anybody wanna toast to how cowardly Fire-Benders are?"

Chong says this loud enough that the entire bar can hear him.

It seems all firebenders of the temperament to take this bait have since gone outside to fight other people.

You begin practicing through some of the basic forms. In your frustration, you try hard to remember the advice you heard: breathe. That is where the fire comes form. The lackluster fire you make disappoints you, but you suppose it's an improvement from the tiny, uncontrollable flames you could produce months ago. Perhaps if you had more money, you could afford a real teacher...
